As a born and raised dc native, I can't stand the commanders, but I will admit this would be great for the city and that area.

I will also add that crime has gotten worse in that specific area the last 5 years so that could be a problem.

Yes that's the Benning road area. I grew up over there. During game day there should be police covering that area though.

I just dont recommend walking from the Minnesota avenue area on game day. All bets are off then.

Good….because moving them to Landover behind a community of houses was stupid and traffic to get out is 3 hours

Nearly as stupid as moving the “Dallas” Cowboys to a bland spot next to Six Flags in boring Arlington.

Well not really, but it depends on what stop you get off on. Stadium-Amory metro station is a block away and its directly across from million dollar row houses.

They are building a new stadium on the old RFK site - the actual stadium is STILL NOT completely demolished.

I hope, for nostalgic purposes, they keep some of RFK's character. I'm sure it wouldn't pass code these days, but seeing that one section of bleachers bounce was pretty cool.
