he can come coach our linebackers. I would love that guy on our staff.

he will be a coordinator somewhere though.

That seems to be a report that threw names of teams with defensive openings against a wall more than there being truth to it.

Jacksonville would be stupid not to hire him to replace Smith. Upgrade. They get him and I will say it right now, they win the AFC South in 2008.

I am afraid Jerry is doing his best Little Danny Bonapart imitation. We can't become like the Skins and have 6 head coaches on the staff.

As long as we win we can have 12 coaches like that!

Jerry is putting together 2 different types of defensive coaching staffs so that Jason will have his pick when he takes over.

Williams would be a great fit for the Jags or Rams but not with us. He runs a very different scheme than Wade and has been almost exclusively a 4-3 guy.

I also heard Dallas was interested in Chuck Knoll, Don Shula, George Halas, Tom Landry, Curly Lambeau, Paul Brown, Bud Grant, Marty Schottenheimer, Chuck Knox, Bill Parcells, Mike Holmgren, Mike Ditka, Jim Mora, George Seifert, George Allen, Dick Vermeil, Joe Gibbs, Don Coryell, John Madden, Bill Walsh, and Vince Lombardi for either linebackers coach or defensive assistant.

I believe they have narrowed it down to Tom Landry, Curly Lambeau, George Halas, Bill Walsh, Paul Brown, and Vince Lombardi, but word is there is some unknown reason holding up the negotiations between them and the Cowboys.

He's drawing interest as Assistant OC/Special Teams. They really want him to bring in Saunders 700 page playbook. Either that or we're creating a new defensive position. He's going to coach the linebacker-backers.

Guys, you act like he can only learn the 43D. I'm sure he can coach the 34D, with some help. Hell, i'm sure he coached against before.

I would take that bet. The Jags still need work on their offense. They still lack a go to receiver, offensive speed and Fred Taylor will be another year older. I like their team and am interested in seeing their off season approach in free agency and the draft. If they can add some more dynamic players on offense then I may have to agree with you.

Doubt any truth to that story. Williams is a 43 DC.

There ya go... Williams is not a good fit at all for the Boys...

I figure the Washington Post, which has had a long-running feud with Danny Boy, stuck that in there, a bit of disinformation designed to give the Mad Midget a migraine... :D
