Orton is really not any better. The guy can barely throw the ball 10 yards in the air most of the time and did you forget his season ending INT last year. It's amazing how people overrate former Cowboy players and some current Cowboy players.

He has sucked himself into a 105 QB rating.

I agree Orton is mediocre. I disagree that he isn't any better Weeden. Weeden is horrific.

You know what they say about spilled milk.
The beauty in all this is ... if the Cowboys are strong enough to win the division and make the playoffs, they'll do it.
9-1, 6-3. Eh! The Cowboys are who they are. Remember when we played the "If" game last year. Well, we could say the same thing about the games against St. Louis and Houston game. We could be 4-5.
If the Cowboys are a better team than last year, they'll prove in down the stretch. If they go 8-8, they'll prove things haven't changed.
I can't get to flustered about it. I can't do anything about it other than observe, give my opinion, cheer and let the chips fall where they may.
On to the London against the Jags. I'll take 7-3 at the break.

Good for him. Wow he beat Minnesota and the Jets. He's been playing against garbage teams. He wouldn't be any better here. He's less mobile than Weeden. He had a chance to put us in the playoffs last year and screwed up. There is no way Orton wins this game today.

Orton is light years better than Weeden. Orton resembles an NFL QB; low end starter - good backup. You can put his talent & skill level in that range. Weeden doesn't belong in the NFL.

I'm just not a big Orton fan. He wasn't the difference between us winning and losing today. If he was such a good backup he wins the Philly game last year. Orton and Weeden are backups for a reason. Weeden had a bad day no doubt about it but I'm not about to start clamoring for wanting Orton or thinking things would be different with him. It wouldn't.

Not if we had a reasonable replacement QB. Isn't it time to work on Romo's eventual replacement ???
Without a doubt. But as for this year it is what it is.

Now can we win a game or two with the weed man? Yes but in no way can he guide us to the NFC East crown.

Philly now has the same or bigger problems at QB.

It's now and has been about the running game keeping the D off the field.
But without a down field passing game,
as the Dixie Chick song goes "There's Your Trouble".
