LOL! There’s so many of those like “Your an idiot”....some of my favorites....”
  • “Your crazy”
  • “Are team”
  • “There a good team”
  • And my all time favorite: “Your a looser”. :lmao2:
You know, there's a lot of little picky rules in grammar, and I don't say anything about not getting those right. Like saying "alot". But those big glaring ones that you can't miss are just stupid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One of my pet peeves: Steve Harvey, big time, big money host of Family Feud says “They’s here to win theyself a WHOLE lotta cash!”

But for whatever reason, this offseason I’ve seen way less tolerance for differing opinions than I’ve ever seen around this forum. It’s as if only one way of looking at our favorite team is acceptable. That’s not an opinion forum, it’s a country club.

I object to the "I don't like hearing that opinion about the Cowboys (again), so you should shut up."

In general I don't get why people can't just skip over topics they're not interested in instead of telling the people who are interested to shut up. But it's extra annoying in the offseason when there is so little Cowboy news to talk about anyway.

Same goes for "that's the wrong forum for that comment" hallway monitoring, which, happily, we don't seem to be getting much of. But what's the point? Of course we're going to be talking about potential signings and potential draft picks in the offseason.

Obviously, the regular season and playoffs have to be the best part of any football season. On an opinion forum about my favorite sports team, I usually have lots of fun seeing differing opinions about the Cowboys, especially during the long offseason without actual games. Some opinions I agree with, some I don’t, but almost always interesting either way.

Some fans like to focus on all the positive possibilities of the future, some like to discuss the pain and frustration of the past, some like to drill down on the details of the Xs and Os, who we should draft, while others like to propose unlikely trades or free agent moves, etc. I’m cool with any and all of these opinion angles.

In fact, I’ve always liked having multiple choices in ice cream flavors.

The day only one way of looking at this team is tolerated is the day this place gets boring.

So if you see an opinion you don’t like, remember:
  • Offer a different opinion without demanding that yours be the only “acceptable” one.
  • Disagreement is the coin of the realm around here. It’s what makes this forum interesting.
  • Telling a fellow fan we disagree with to, “Go pick another team to follow” is like saying “we only serve vanilla ice cream here” to a loyal customer who may also like chocolate or butter pecan. It’s disrespectful to the extreme.
  • Being a Cowboys fan is always worthy of respect.
I’ve been guilty of intolerance at times too. So I’m preaching to myself as well. I’m glad we have a forum that allows lots of opinions. The more flavors the better. Let’s keep it that way. The day we all have to think alike around here is the day this place loses its value.

I am completely intolerant of anyone that does not think Garrett sucks.

I think the worst is when people insinuate that there is an "agenda" for some people not being all in on a certain player. It's clear what they're trying to say that "agenda" is, but since they're not allowed to use the word, they keep repeating "agenda", in the hopes that the mere thought of being "agenda based" in that way will make the other poster stop stating his opinion. It's a cheap, dirty, cowardly tactic, and there's no place for it...anywhere.

It would be great if this Forum would host an annual Fight Club. I would like that.

I agree, it gets kind of crazy at times using that word, you know.

I have no agenda other than to express my opinions which are usually facts.

Thinking your opinions are usually facts is not an agenda. It kinda leans more toward delusion. But that’s just an opinion...

I agree 100% with this post. It's also the reason some folks dont post as much, I'm guessing. When the discussion is based on name calling and assumptions seems kind of pointless to engage in a conversation of differing opinions.
