It’s insane that Texas Tech’s Tahj Brooks is not on a top10 RB list for the 2025 draft. In 2024 he had over 1,500 yards rushing, finishing 4th in the nation in yards rushing, and according to PFF, had the most missed tackles in CFB last year. In fact, Brooks led the nation with 96 forced missed tackles on the ground.

Brooks is not fast. But he’s quick and powerful, able to change directions, run over people or simply avoid being tackled. He is 5-10 230 and has an uncanny ability to get yardage even when defenses know he’s coming.

Tahj Brooks will probably be a 3rd-5th round type back next year. He probably won’t be an instant star but as a two person committee he will make an excellent rb option for teams.

Highlight Link:

He looks pretty good. Thanks for sharing.

Like last year, it is a very meh RB class.

Ranking right now is kind of a pointless exercise, but there's another 8-10 guys who can probably give some 3rd-4th round value.

Jeanty is my favorite on this list. He’s a pretty complete rb. I’ve watched almost every game he’s played at Boise State and he’s good in the passing game, both blocking and receiving. And his speed and power combination is impressive. He can bang out the tough yards when he needs to or he can make you look silly in the open field and run right by you. Plus he’s a good kid with a good work ethic.

Im a Boise State fan so I might be a tad biased(I’m trying my best not to be) but I do know he’s an very talented RB and I think his style translates well to the NFL.

I’m not a Boise State fan so I’m not biased. This kid is special.

Underrated prospect that is going to make a good pro. Kyle Monangai from Rutgers.

Lead the Big10 in rushing last year with 1,262 yards @ 5.2 YPC and has 373 yards and 4 TD’s in 2 games so far this year. Listed at 5’10 209 and has the ability to put his foot in the ground and get up field with great burst and good open field speed. Rarely gets brought down by the 1st defender, breaks tackles at an incredible rate. Shows patience and vision required to find holes. This is the type of guy you grab in the 3rd/4th round and don’t worry about RB for another 4 years at least.
