We always win these types of games (Saints)

Dogs on the road and playing a good team where no one will pick us to win. Denver was the only team that scared me, but no longer fear them. SNF, usually, Romo shines and takes over. I'm actually pretty optimistic that we'll come out on top. Brees is solid but he'll throw a pick or two and we MUST MUST MUST double Graham. I say put Carr oh him with safety help.

While I want to agree with you, I just see matchup problems everywhere here. Unless Ware is in the lineup, I can't see good things in trying to stop a pissed off Drew Brees and co. And our Offense doesn't handle pressure well, which is exactly what the Saints will be trying to do.

Belicheck threw Talib on Graham and shut him completely down but I don't think Kiffen and Garrett have the cojones to do something so brilliant.

Aren't we something like 4-19 against winning teams?

Honestly under Garrett these are the types of games we play hard and come up just short. I think in 2010 we pulled off some of those wins (I remember going into New York and Indy and getting wins), but I don't know about 2011 or 2012.

We really could use a nice signature win, though.

It is the NFL you never know how these games will go. I expect this is going to be another close game and could go either way.

You're not gonna find a whole lot of teams with a winning record vs "good teams" over a 3 1/2 year span.

Talib's a bit more physical and faster than Carr too. Don't know about 40 times I'm talking strictly game speed.

Hope we can handle having the kitchen sink thrown at us because that's what Rob is gonna do.

He might even throw himself at Tony if he gets excited enough.

On paper we should get blown out but im hoping its close and we have a chance to win. But I can just see this defense giving ip at least 450-500+ yards

i honestly have no feel for how any of our games will pan out for the rest of the season. we could come out as world beaters on offense (DEN game) or play like complete duds (SD game)

i work with a bunch of Saints fans so a win would be like an early xmas present to me

I made a correction for you. I agree with your post.

Yeah that's true you're right. My post wasn't so much bashing the team as it was saying that we don't really tend to win these games. We do tend to fight our way through to the end of every game.

Also, I don't know about other 8-8/9-7 level teams, but I'd say that you'd expect more teams to have a couple wins vs. good teams and a couple losses vs. bad teams. We just seem to beat all the bad teams and lose to all the good teams. Just my thoughts though, I only follow one team in the NFL really closely

We can play with anyone in this league thanks to our highly-potent passing attack.

If we can run and play a little D, there's no reason why we can't win.

Carr certainly did not matchup well with Calvin Johnson and you can argue they are similar body style guys though hopefully Graham continues to look like he has lost a step with the foot injury. If we play Church or Heath on him all game, this place will be ugly come Sunday evening. Gotta adjust the D and make the other guys (Moore, banged up Colston, Meachem, and Stills) beat us. It's on Lee or Carter to contain Sproles.

Graham was really hurting in that game...a shadow of himself.

Actually, I like the no bodies playing up front better without Ware......just seem to give it their all and are a scrappy bunch. But I agree with the matchup problem.....just don't matchup well with the Saints at all. They also are going to run a lot of screens, dump off passes in the flat to their RBs which Dallas will have a problem defending. Unlike Dallas, New Orleans is a very good screen team.
