dating back to our last two games last year with Philly and the Packers..

and now this year.

I won't total up all the points against us in those contests.

Its too depressing.

Other than the obvious..

should we be looking at things differently before its too late?

Comments?

I think it was Bill Parcells who said your record is who they say you are.

Something like that.

How will looking at things differently help exactly?

The Eagles game was essentially a preseason game. You can debate whether it was wise to rest our starters or not, but you can't lump it in as a true loss when trying to present your case like this.

3-3 in our last 6 meaningful games. Nothing to be proud of, certainly, but we'll see how the team responds going forward.

Maybe this is true.

The point of my post is a reality check.

You can rationalize about the Eagles loss as meaningless..

but I think it was meaningful.

It set the attitude this team went into the Packers game with where we fell behind by 21+ points.

Add Denver and LA to that string.

Kill the messanger but the message is still the same.

Good question..

Best of the The thread Award to you.

Looking differently might mean should there be more urgency directed to the players by the coaches.

Should the team meet to hash out any problems they are dealing with..

Zeke's problems..

the demonstration problems..

any distractions present that should be addressed..

i don't know.

Looking at things differently won't make the OLine create holes, though.

And it won't make Zeke become passionate about the game again.

Won't make Jason Witten be able to block again.

And it won't make half of our defense better tacklers or make them suddenly be able to catch a potential interception.

It also won't make Dak learn how to throw an accurate ball in the pocket.

----------------------------------

My point being, there seems to be MULTIPLE factors that no amount of analyzation or change in approach will help.

It comes down to execution and preparation and heart. Sure, we can install better schemes, but if the players don't execute the way they should, those schemes are going to suck just as much as the existing ones do.

I get as frustrated with the coaches as anybody else does, but players can make a terrible coach look great and they can make a great coach look terrible. Not saying our staff falls into either category, but for the most part, the players themselves win or lose the game

Understood..

point was..

Look out.

Overlook things and they snowball.

I guarrantee the coaches behind closed doors are seeing it

They will never say anything publically.

As they should.

But as fans..

we can discuss freely.

And we will.

I can't really disagree with any skepticism.

I know Dak is learning and he is and will get better.

The X factor is his surroundings. Can we really expect success in spite of coaching mistakes, being unprepared... not making adjustments?

I think not. Highly unlikely.

I'm sort of a WWIi enthusiast..

and a deep thinker..

hope that doesn't offend you.

the deaths from WWII were repugnant of course..

but I study the Germans and the Japanese and the British and Americans in those conflicts.

I do it because it was before me..I wasn't born then.

But I want to understand how choices lead to actions..

how actions lead to choices.

My point..

Decisions..and lack there of lead to 50 million deaths.

One of the problems is not seeing trouble when its present..

and dealing with the consequences.

Our team is clearly in trouble.

Making adjustments is critical to success.

We will see.

Resting the team against Philly was a mistake. It didn't seem like that big of a deal, but in retrospect it was.

Man I would sure hope they were already focused in. Realistically though, maybe not...One thing for sure is if there was any sense of entitlement or accomplishment carried over from last season that should be gone by now. I know these guys arent immune to criticism and Im certain they are hearing alot of it these days. One positive, we are always better as underdogs.

Every season is a new season. Cherry picking specific stretches of time that cross from one season to another is silly.
