After watching last night, we are far from a lefit SB contender. Playoff contender? yes. Divisional contender? Yes.

I agree. If we lost that game, we probably aren't even taking our own division but as it turns out.....we won and now "we're" talking Superbowl.

Same ol same ol around here.

We are a year away from having a dominating team.

I think that is a spot on statement provided the team can have an offseason close to that of last year.

OL, playmaking OLB and some sort of dynamic offensive catalyst and this team could get real good, real quick.

We're almost there and I can feel it, too.

We have the #6 offense and #3 defense in the NFC in terms of total yardage. That's the best, most winning combination out there in my opinion. Seattle by comparison has the #1 offense and #9 defense.

It's just a stat, but we're a well rounded team, which is also evident in the fact we haven't been out of a single game all year.

It can happen this year. It's not a stretch anymore at all.

I find comments like these wierd considering Carolina and Pittsburgh would have a difficult time beating the Cowboys in Dallas and the reverse is also true.

Indy is the best team in the NFL and I believe that by the end of the year New England will be right up there with them. Surprise, they have the NFL's two best QBs.

Do not underestimate the Cowboys defense; Dallas has a better secondary than either Pittsburgh, Carolina, or Indy for that matter. Dallas' linebacking is better than both Indy's and Carolina's, though not Pittsburgh's. It's DE where the other three have an advantage over Dallas, but DeMarcus Ware doesn't exactly suck and Dallas goes very deep overall at the position.

While none of Terry Glenn, Keyshawn Johnson, Patrick Crayton, or Jason Witten have the superstar status of a Chad Johnson, Hines Ward, Steve Smith, or Marvin Harrison, when considered as a group (and when healthy) they compete with any other receiving corps.

Dallas' OL is not strong at OT and center, but it is good enough to compete with the other teams.

Dallas' biggest weakness, IMO is special teams when you consider the field goal kicking, kickoff distance and coverage, punt coverage, and punt return groups. Only kickoff returns and punting have been above average, though Crayton seemed to be getting the hang of punt returns.

I am still lovin that win against Philly.

We are close to being a Super Bowl team. I think the Boys get in the playoffs this year and will win 1 game there.

There is only 1 reason I think we will not get to the Super Bowl. Our offensive line. It is not a good OL. It is not even average. I rate our OL as not quite bad nuff to suck.

This OL can not open holes for the running game or run block at all. They have a hard nuff time with just pass blocking.

I have said this before in this forum. In the 2006 draft DO NOT be surprised if all our 1st day picks are used on OL.....and we use some FA $$$ for it to.

We have no real center. That is the thing we need to hit the most. Serioulsy if there is a beast at Center in this coming draft then that is where our 1st round pick has to go.

I know everyone thinks a draft with lotsa OL and FA with a little more OL would be boring but we will all love it when we have a much better OL.

In the 2006 draft we will not be high nuff to pick a top WR or something like that so lets use that 1st rounder on the best OL there when we pick. Same for 2nd round.

If this running game is gonna work it is as simple as this.....the OL we have just will not make it happen.

Parcells will do to the OL like what he did to the DL last year.....BOOK IT!!!

We are a good OL away from goin to the Super Bowl. :)

I totally agree and I would not be upset if we used many picks on OL. I think C would be a good place to start. There isn't a C in this draft that excites me. Bentley as a FA might be a good idea. We need to draft a young OG. I think Gurode is gone and even if Peterman is solid, Allen and Rivera are both old. OT, we may or may not need one...depending on how we feel about Pettiti after the season and Flo coming back from injury. I think Tucker is okay as a backup so we're not old at the position and Pettiti will get better.

Because the money invested in Flo, I think he sticks around. Pettiti should keep RT on lock. Center, and guards is where we may need some help. Guorode just can't seem to get his head straight, and Johnson isn't powerful enough

I agree 100% and I hope we take a guard at the end of the first round. It's not likely, and we can still get a pretty good one in the 2nd or 3rd, but we could get the best one in the draft if we commit a first.

Can't remember the year, or all the players, but BP's early years in NY. 2 drafts, back to back, #1 & #2 picks, in both years....all OL...and a need....it was Jumbo Elliott, Moore, I think, can't remember the other 2.

And they anchored that OL for years.

So, yeah, don't be surprised BP goes OL early and often.

i also think we will go with 2 OL the first day, if not thru FA. we also need a true outstanding FS, another LB would be nice, and i think we'll keep Price at WR. but definitely as a unit, the OL needs to be upgraded and add some solid depth. bledsoe must be protected for us to have any success, ergo we remake the OL this offseason.
i don't think we'll win the SB this year, but we might... and next year we should be an even better team.
also, i could never root for TO even in a cowboys uniform. no matter what anyone says, i cannot see that happening - no way. any suggestion that we would sign TO is just smoke and mirrors...
