We are getting the shaft [schedule]

Well to me something seems fishy.

Do you realize that we just got through playing the Texans and they had a bye, 2 weeks to get ready for us.

Then, the stinking Commanders have a bye, and 2 weeks to get ready for us.

then, arizona has a bye and 2 weeks to get ready for us. How is that for being unfair?

That is only true for an AFC team, but not for an NFC team. You could end up playing the same team in the NFC every year if you keep finishing in the same place in their respective divisions. Like I said earlier if say both the Panthers & Cowboys finish in the same place in their divisions, the Boys will play in Carolina for the 3rd straight year. See for yourself, look at game 8 away:

Wait a second...

If Dallas and Carolina finished in the same place in their divisions, no doubt they'll play each other. But will Dallas play AT Carolina, or are we just saying that this is a possibility?

That's a stretch Philly has later on this year and that's just not fair. We had a similar situation last year and it didn't go well.

That's definitely a T.O. legacy. The last thing the league wanted was to have T.O. return to Philly on Christmas, especially with the possibility of snow AND a game where, if the Eagles had had a bad season again, a lot of unhappy fans could make the game into one for the ages (dark ages, that is).

The one time that I had a real big problem with scheduling was back when the Cowboys and Niners were going at it in the early '90's.
I've always held that those Niner teams were the darlings of the NFL and the media and I can site case after case to prove it.
In this case, I think it was 93 or 94, the Niners first 8 games of the season were against their division. A division that, all through the Niner "dynasty", averaged maybe 6-7 wins between them for a good decade. New Orleans, the Rams, the Falcons, and then they got the expansion Panthers.
Again, back then, all these teams were like 3-13, 4-14 every year. It was the most patsy division in football for years.
There's alot to be said about momentum in the NFL, during games and season long as well. Of course, the Niners came out 8-0 that year. I thought if there was ever a conspiracy to set a team up to win, that was it.

Remember when Packer fans cried about coming to Dallas every year?

In both of those years, the '9ers played 3 divisional games among their first 8. They didn't have anything like the kind of schedule you describe between 1990 and 1995 (that's all I checked).

I too am very, very, very tired of playing in Carolina every freaking year.

It's only back to back, not like it's every year. The Cowboys came to Seattle two straight years and had they won their division last year, would have come a third straight year.

Great avatar.

:welcome:

We also played there in the playoffs a few years back. (although we had them at home that year also).

I'm just tired of the Panthers.

Washington plays at Indy next week and thats going to be a loss for them. From there, the Skins have a bye and play us. So Washington will be 2-5 coming off their bye and will have their season on the line at home against us. Wonderful, just wonderful. Plus why do we get these long road streaks?

We played 1 home game[Wash} in 5 weeks counting the bye{ Jags,Wash, bye,Ten,Phi.] Then we go on the road or 3 straight[wash,Car,Ari]!!!!!!!! In a stretch thats 1 home game in 8 weeks. Thats seems not fair. Then you would think they would give us a cupcake after the 3 road games but we get Indy at home. Im glad now that we dont have to go to New Orelans, thats one postive.

Look at Philly,

Oct 29 Jacksonville 1:00pm 153 123
Week 9 BYE
Nov 12 Washington 1:00pm 144 144
Nov 19 Tennessee 1:00pm 119
Nov 26 @Indianapolis 1:00pm 147 158
Dec 4 Carolina

Thats one road game in about 6-7 weeks

opinons

I hate you and anyone who thinks like you.

Hey, Hey! Dallas in Carolina is the only chance I get to see them play...The Cowboys need to come every year!

Click on the link I provided in my earlier post and you'll see. It says it all right there, not a possibility, a fact.
