fill in the answer..and I am talking upgrades here....I say the O line---because thats where it all starts....we need a serious O line...time to upgrade....we can compete with the best without it

Oline. We know what this team is capable of when the oline doesn't suck.

The OL proved to be our undoing in the playoffs but even with an upgrade there and the addition of a playmaking safety the Cowboys are only going as far as Romo takes them. It's still going to come down to him making plays and not turning the ball over.

OL - same ol' same ol'.......

it starts and ends with the o-line.we need depth desperately.

We've got the defense and the skill position players to get where we want to go. Just need the O-line to show up.

The O-line not to crumble down the stretch and Romo not to turn the ball over- even when the O-line is crumbling down the stretch.

The OL allows us to go.

The most critical elements we need to shore up are blitz and stunt pickups and red zone running game.

Where are all the people who want a Safety in round 1 then? ;)

Absolutely agree, OL is the need. But this team needs to improve the Return games to help the Offense and a Kicker who isn't suffering yips would help.

O-line, I would dedicate 3-4 picks to o-line....

If only we had two decent OLB's, we could really go places. Owell, a guy can dream.

Kicker is a big need; we all saw this last year how important that is. I am not so sure the return game needs a lot of emphasis; with the change in the KO wedge rules it was kind of disjointed this season. And the fact is that it maybe makes on average at most 5 yards difference per drive. And unless you are in a high scoring game you are looking at maybe 4 or so per game- we should not see more due to our very good D. I fail to see how that makes it a SERIOUS need. Crayton seemed to somehow become a threat on PR so if we gamble that that was not just a one off we are OK there. Our coverage teams did a lot better and more then offset the KO return problems.

offensive line...
I concur with these fine folks.

:D

I'd just like to add that I think this team will go as far as the OL takes them since I haven't seen it mentioned yet.

What is yips?

When a Kicker starts missing a lot of Kicks they call it the yips. I have no idea where it came from but it has been around for years.
