Payton has not had control of this offense. Sean was a big time passer in college and would love to open up this offense. Look what he has done as a OC in this league. All of his QB's have thrown for over 3,000 yds each year. Collins,Carter and Bledsoe. Bill just loves to run the ball and play field position.

I agree. Why are we so worried about him. And people complain about Zimmer? The offense stinks with him IMO. I would rather have someone else. I can care less if he leaves. He wasn't good in NY and isn't good here either.

Welp, whoever it ends up being it'll be a puppet. I could almost guarantee BP gives Payton's play list a good plowin' under before each game. Don't expect much of a change here. Where ever Payton ends up I'd be willing to bet his offense will be a lot more of an offense. Greenbay is his best fit. Heaven help him if NO wants him.

Frankly I think Payton is a fool if he takes the NO's job. There just too many problems with that team that he can't control and as a new HC with little pedigre he won't have enough influence with the GM there and the owner. Also who is he going to pick as his DC, etc. Think he would have better chance if Packers interested in him, although Bret Favre will be a problem. It obvious Favre still wants to play despite the need GB has to move on.

If Payton is smart, he stills with Parcells 1 more year in hopes Cowboys go deep into the playoffs. If/when that happens, he will be the hot OC other teams will be after & have his pick of several teams and not the lowly NO Saints, etc.

Literally north of 25th in the league in rushing yards and/or avg/carry both times Bledsoe went north of 4k in NE.
