Where have you been? We clinched a playoff birth the first week in Dec and are only assured a wildcard at this point. We can't be resting players now with the NFC East and the #1 seed still on the line. McFadden got some work last night and will continue getting work the final two games. Even if we had everything wrapped up, if we start resting players now they'll have too much time off between now and the playoffs and might not be sharp. We can start resting players in the second half of the season finale but we still have two games to go with something to play for.

players get into a rhythm. Think thats why some teams come out rusty after their bye week. The 1st week playoff bye has also effected some teams. Having players sit 2 or maybe 3 weeks will be like an eternity for them and really serves no purpose (except in Madden). We also need more wins for home field advantage.
Play them all next week and most if not all last week.

No. We play straight up against Detroit in order to secure home field advantage. If philly wins on Thursay and it's wrapped up them Sanchez and Morris get every snap along with many other backups. You keep all the key guys healthy for the playoffs and that includes Romo and DMC. Either of them may be needed and cannot be risked in a meaningless game. They are long term vets and one or two games isn't going to mean anything. They will be ready if called on.

H-m-m, our current and immediate goal is to secure home field advantage -- let's just shoot for that with all we're worth now, shall we?

Forget about fourth or fifth seed -- what we really need is to fortify ourselves with every possible advantage that's realistically possible.

This team has already proven fairly well that it doesn't necessarily perform at peak efficiency in cold and wet conditions. Let's avoid it.

The bottom line is if you believe the Cowboys will win at least 1 of the next 2 games then they are 1 win over a division rival at home from hosting the NFC Championship game.

I don't think the Giants or Skins survive games at GB or ATL, but we shall see.

Don't let these haters get you down. This is a terrific idea. We either get a bye the first week of the playoffs, or we go play the Packers at Lambeau: there's such a tiny difference between those two scenarios that it hardly matters.
