We are lucky to have drafted...

I questioned the Choice pick as well, but it has led me to think that there will be two RB's on the field quite a bit this year; Barber and Choice will be pretty interchangeable and Felix will be used as a change of pace back AND as a slot receiver - partially solving our lack of explosiveness at WR.

As I said we sit back and see how it plays out. This clearly would be a change from last season. All in all within a game Dallas may run it 30 time between 2 backs that is about 15 carries each I doubt it would even work out with Jones and Barber getting equal carries it seldom does when teams are using a 2 backs which would not leave much in terms of carry for a 3rd RB. Don't get me wrong I like Choice and think he is both a good guy and a good RB I'm just not overly sold on grabbing a RB after we selected F. Jones. I'm willing to keep an open mind until we see how this all works.

I hear ya' Dooms. Maybe I am being too optimistic. For some reason I just see our running game looking a lot different this year. It really wasn't a strength for us last year. I just think Garrett will put some packages together that will surprise us all. Maybe I'm just dreaming. I have been Jonesin' (pun intended) for this team to get back to the Superbowl for over a decade.

I have a feeling Choice and Felix will be our primary Kickoff Return guys.

Oh I think we have upgraded ourselfs at RB. and look forward to see how Jason uses these new weapons on offense.

I'm very anxious to see Felix returning kickoffs.

Maybe he will take one back in preseason just to tease us a little.

I don't know if Choice has the speed for that. I think choice in general was a "hey we like this guy and he's still available" kind of pick, rather than a "we need to insure against Barber's contract/injury" or anything liek that.

We needed a legitimate third RB on our roster, and Choice fills that void.

You might not think a third RB is worth a fourth-round pick, but what were the other options? A third QB? A sixth WR? A fifth OT? A third NT? A fifth CB? A fifth ILB? Maybe a fourth safety, but they already said the safety they wanted in the middle rounds was gone. Choice not only was the best value available, he also filled the biggest opening left on the team, roster-wise.

No doubt Felix Jones will run back punts, but if he is used as much as some anticipate as a running back, would running back kicks also be a good idea?

I think there is a lot of doubts that Felix will be running back punts. I don't think he returned punts in college. It is pretty much a given he will be back there on kick off return duty. If the defense is good this year, there will be a lot more punts than kick offs to return, so it should not wear him down too much.

Felix Jones won't be running back punts, he tried it in College a couple of times but he wasn't good at it, it's something he just struggles with for some reason. Pac Man will be the one returning the punts.

You will all love Choice in December. We wont have to rely on Barber to pound us though tough games and have him wear down. Choice can get 8-10 carries for MBIII each game.

Thats where his value comes in. He has better vision then Marion and is at least comparable body/running style. He's not the bruiser Marion is but he runs hard.

The difference between Marion and Tyson Thompson was night and day. Thompson wasn't even a consideration to get touches. Tashard will be. Might not be a huge role each week, but the weeks he does get touches will be the weeks you all value you him so highly.

Like adam said, who really was there that would have been a better pick? We needed a 3rd back, and we got a VERY good third back.

I was thinking more in terms of a FB and seeing how Owen Schmitt was still around or DT Okam just to name a couple of other options. Believe I'm not crying over it but I was a bit suprised Dallas went with Choice.

Lots of guys have a video of themselves out there. I could post a video of nearly any draft pick and make them look like beasts.

Choice was right around where he should have been drafted.
Especially Wr's right?
