You Dezerters can create a million different threads all trying to put down Bryant but we are not a better team if we cut him.......PERIOD

If we can trade him and get fair value like a 3rd round pick then we could recoup some of the loss but we will still be worse in 2018 ......AHurns and DThompson are secondary pieces, not stars...... Dez is a star

And don't mention his money either....what are we going to spend it on ???..... and we can still create more space by keeping him....... just like DWare a few years ago...... we got worse as a team by cutting him....who cares if Dez is overpaid by 2-4m??? We are 6m under the cap right now

We didn't sign Mathieu or Suh or SRichardson or a real LBer.....just some more dumpster diving that feels like shopping in Beverly Hills after skipping the first 10 days of FA......don't be fooled

CFleming
JThomas
MMartin
DThompson are JAGs just like CThornton, BBell, NCarroll, SPaea

We can't afford to give away legitimate stars like Dez...... that is just plain dumb and so many Mock Fans are actually rooting for it....... Here's Your Sign

You didn’t get the memo? We owe the Cowboys front office an apology after those signings.

Last season was a death of a thousand cuts. Dez had his issues and was probably playing through minor injuries, but the OL breakdowns (and needing time to gel early in the year) didn't help, plus Dak had some subpar games in the second half.

But the biggest problem was that we had no deep speed so opponents could key on our short game. Put Hurns and Thompson on the field (plus a draft pick, plus Rico Gathers) and half the problem is solved.

Then keep Zeke on the field and fine tune mechanics and timing with Dak and we are right back to Dez being a star WR.

Yeah last year sucked, I'm looking forward to see our OL and Zeke run over teams.

I"m cool with keeping Dez provided he:
  • Doesn't run into a brawl without a helmet and get punched in the nose
  • Doesn't walk around barefoot in the locker room after just having surgery on his foot
  • Doesn't let the ball hit him in the face mask
  • Doesn't let a ball go completely through his arms and legs
  • Doesn't headbutt a teammate without a helmet on
  • Wraps the ball up on 4th down

Those are all spot on reasons....2017 was a a wasted year the minute Goodell dropped the hammer on Zeke a week before the season

But we are all out of excuses now......Dez...Dak...Zeke....DLaw.....JSmith....Tron......BJones.... all have to put up or shut up

Tearing it down before it even begins is the worst possible plan though

I liked what we did in FA
We got a better compliment receiver, a better swing tackle
The biggest issue with moving on from dez this season is it creates a need at WR which will likely require a higher pick there. Most likely a first or second
I think we already have one offensive need that will likely require a top 3 rnd pick at guard
I don’t want to create another
I’d rather see if adding at WR, bringing in a new WR coach and better play design will help with dez
If not then next year I’d move on but I just don’t want to have to use two of our top three picks on offense, and I think parting with dez creates that

You build the team from the bottom up and not from the top down

When you can tell me we have 5 better WRs than Dez then we can cut him

RIght now I don't see any better......cut NBrown or Beasley or Switzer first

I think a lot of the Dez stuff is overblown. IMO what the team is really looking for is for Dez to just take a pay cut. Its not like they cant wait to get rid of him or anything,... not like that AT ALL. Now,.... if he refuses to take a pay cut? Yeah,... thats when things could get very interesting. Then I could easily see him being cut and we end up using our 1st rounder on a W.R.

Success in the NFL has a thousand fans claiming credit and Defeat has ten thousand claiming the sky is falling.

we have had dez for several seasons now and we still haven't won a divisional playoff game way more than dez has to improve for this team to be considered in competition as one of the better teams in the nfc and a true serious superbowl contender

If the Cowboys can't figure out a way to use a player like Dez to make the team better, there is no hope for them.

What about last season makes you think that the Cowboys are in a position to unload ANY of their weapons - even if you think he's overpriced?

If they keep Dez he needs to reinvent himself. He doesn't have the athletic ability to just win all the time anymore. That's a fact.

He can only do what the coaches tell him to do.

We had Tron, TFred and ZMartin too .... I guess we don't need a top OL
