He has trouble with over the shoulder catches. Crossing routes that have him full speed catching a pass over the middle so he can turn it up field is probably the best way to use him for the potential home run plays.

On offense, we have one playmaker CD Lamb while our other playmaker rides the pine 90% of the time. What are they thinking to keep Turpin on the bench while our offense struggles so much this season? I will say Turpin is a decent receiver but not a great one, but if the Rams, Chiefs, Bills, 49ers, Ravens, etc had Turpin they would find a way to have him heavily involved in the offense. Turpin's long runs have clocked his elite speed better than S. Barkley so it makes no sense to keep him off the field.

Below are some no brainer ideas.
  1. Throw the bomb to Turpin at least twice a game
  2. Have Turpin run long patterns to stretch the defense which will open up some short and med routes
  3. Jet sweep & fake jet sweep to Turpin multiple times per game
  4. Have Turpin in at running back for special packages (could put Turpin AND Trey Lance in the same package
And our offensive line might not be good enough to protect for longer passing routes so keep a TE or an extra TE in the game for some of those plays. It's frustrating to watch one of the NFL's most electric playmakers relegated to the bench to watch our underachieving offense sputter. Geez.
Agreee, but I want more open space slants! Nobody can cover him, clear it out and send him through the dead space.

You don't have the QB/HC to maximize this player's unique skill set.
More waste for our massive garbage can which devours our dreams and hopes as Dallas Cowboy fans.
