We are one of the worst teams in the league

Teams scoring 25 plus points today were 8-1, guess who the 1 was? There were also several teams that scored less than 25 points and they also won.

No one is saying our D isn't terrible - Again, the argument is that we aren't playing a full 4 quarters of football on offense. It also doesn't help when your offense gives the other team a quick 6 points.

Again, how did this offense perform when it went up against a respected defense? how many points, MEANINGFUL points (not garbage), did it score?

Again, when we went up against a solid D, how did our offense do?

Lee isn't going to fix our problems - actually, our D had one of it's worst games with him on the field...

I don't want to hear about other teams draining the clock on us. Stop with quick 3 and outs in the second half and you can control the clock. We are failing on both sides of the ball. We've been tested by one good defense this year and looked like the Browns.

You are being a complete simpleton. Sorry but we've played several stout D's the first 5 games. Our O while not as prolific as last season, can ball when it gets going. They've been more like their old selves the last two games. Not everything is clicking, no doubt but things can get better and frankly they did TODAY. We just lost to the probably the best QB to suit up besides Tom Brady the last 20 years. It happens. You can't just blow up a whole team because the first 5 games haven't gone great after a 13-3 season. You do realize how stupid AND EMOTIONAL that would be right? And don't dismiss Sean Lee. The guy is a beast and makes a huge difference out there....he's the QB of the defense. Downplay his absence all you want but it is not reality.

What needs rebuilt great franchise builder? Are you saying jettison the whole OL and DL and our new young secondary guys? Get rid of Bailey? Demarcus Lawrence? David Irving? Zeke? Just throw the baby out with the bath water eh? You sound like a complete dumb#$%%@....

Secondary, linebackers, defensive line, and WR group. Right now, all we can say we have is an offensive line and even THAT has been underwhelming.

LOL but yeah, we have Dan Bailey.

I would like to see the area Dak has improved and I think if Dungy was pushed, he'd be hard-pressed to explain how.
Well I will take Dungy's opinion over yours, no disrespect meant. But then based on your post, I don't think Dungy or anyone here can tell you anything.

So we played the Giants and put up 19 points (It wasn't an impressive offensive showing) - put up 7 on the Broncos D. Rams haven't been stout, they made Hoyer look like Tom Brady.

Appeal to authority. Not interested - his remarks mean nothing until he can provide and show where he has improved.

The offense has been inconsistent in the games but the defense is clearly the Achilles Heel. 30+ points should win games but couple that with a terrible defense and bad offensive situational playcalling = losses.

Just saying the offense is not absolved from some blame here.....the majority due to coaching, not the players themselves on offense.

No. We are a good team with some issues. Play calling and coaching being one of the bigger issues.

Oh so the Rams are talentless like us huh? You just rewrite every scenario to fit your flawed logic and narrative. Let's put it like this. Let's see where the team ranks at the end of it all. I am not saying we are going to win the division or go to the playoffs or any of that but I can pretty easily surmise that it will not be a talent issue overall that drags us down, it will be coaching. The Defense needs work and it is obviously the weakest unit of the 3. Takes all 3 to get where you need to be. The team is not at a point where it needs "blown" up. It just needs some key pieces on defense. If anything it needs a coaching blowup. Plenty of good things about the Cowboys going forward. Too bad you don't see it.

I don't care about stats. We are a bad team and we can't compete with legit good teams. We are bottom tier this year.

Offensive line is not gelling
DAK IS MEDIOCRE AND STOP PRETENDING HE'S NOT
Zeke has forgot how to bounce outside
Witten has, somehow, gotten slower
Wide receivers disappear
Defense might as well not even take the field

There is a complete rebuild needed. I'm ready to blow it all up.

Who said that? Rams D is switching and adjusting to a new scheme, and I fully expect Wade to whip them into shape. They also have good players on their defense, remember I said their roster is better than ours.

Nice try.

Just like your remarks mean less than nothing, until you can show you have the credentials to be taken seriously. You know credentials something Dungy has.

You just repeatedly said we hadn't played a good defense and in the next post you said the Rams were good. Are you manic or what?

Actually, I said we have played a good defense, and in that game, we couldn't score - only got a score in garbage time and getting the ball in the red zone.

Good players =/= great execution. Your entire argument has been "We have good players, but our coaching staff sucks!" - I'm saying, the Rams have good players on D, but they are adjusting to a new scheme so it is flawed. You also said they were "stout" - which, they haven't been. They aren't awful, but they aren't stout. Maybe they will be before the end of the season and I expect Phillips to get the best out of them.

I think we are an average team. With a few tweaks we can be above average. Fix the front 7 and things will look better. The Oline needs to gel but honestly Collins was getting tore up today

Dear Sir! Compliments directed towards the O.P. are completely and wholly necessary at this timeo_O
Kindly,( if you will) file a form #404 and #2112 as it's obvious the O.P. has once again ventured past the kiddie-pool casing-liner bouys and is now being mothered by a 400lb grandmotherly type of cross dresser till his L.S.D. acid trip subsideso_O

Cowboys 2 wins came against teams that are a combined 2-8. The two wins? Arizona beat SF in overtime and they beat the Colts.

The Cowboys O-line has looked over matched in just about every game this year. Our LB's are terrible aside from Lee. The DB's are young and inexperienced. The coaching staff rolls out predictable and unimaginative game plans and doesn't seem to know how to make adjustments after halftime. And to top it all off the front office IMHO is terrible at evaluating talent on the defensive side of the ball.

I don't think they win more than 8 games and probably more like 5-7. I would love to see Garret and company sent packing and solid draft picks made on the defensive side of the ball. Oh, and pleeeeze quit with the stupid lottery picks in the second round.

Sorry so negative but jeez, this team has serious issues
