We are so RIDICULOUSLY awesome

Go wonder that somewhere else. We'll cross that bridge when we get there.

For now, bask in the awesomenicity, or take your debbie downer attitude somewhere where it will be appreciated.

Cowboys tried to give the game away, refs tried to hand it to Philly, and the Boys still dug it out. Massive impressivenicity.

:laugh2:

Lost all credibility.

I wonder what you'll say after a loss.

Nothing. They'll be too busy shouting down other fans for having the audacity to notice problems. But what else is new?

Its not their fault they think the cowboys can't do no wrong. They just aren't realistic. They think they are football gurus who know nothing. All they can back up statements with is "What if"

We need to fix the offense, though.

If we keep committing stupid penalties that wipe out big plays, keep turning the ball over twice deep in our own end of the field -- including once in the end zone for a touchdown -- keep settling for field goals when we need a touchdown to take lead in the fourth quarter, keep failing to pick up a single first down when we NEED to run out the clock and keep calling the same stupid and/or predictable plays, we WILL NOT win the Super Bowl!

Mark my words.
You're bummin' me out, bro.

We noticed the problems, bucko.

We admitted them.

You just ignored that in various other threads. Which is fine. But then don't complain about it.

We are awesome because despite the apparent flaws, our best attempt at losing, we still won.

That is the very definition of awesominity.

Not to mention "Wade would never lie." That's my fave.

Probably true.

But we are nearing the point of awesomeness that counters it. Pisses me that we keep generating penalties... otoh, our offense bails us out. A lot.

Thanks to an awesome Qb.

My credibility is unmatched, and unchallenged. Those who know me, know this. I've never been wrong, I've never surrendered. You can only hope to attain to my level of epic credibility on the internet.

This is a great team. They proved it last night. You should be in a great mood because of what they pulled off. If that doesn't work, try finding a street walker.

Good point.

I understand being concerned over some of the issues that we saw pop up again, last night.

What I don't understand is how there is so much unhappiness.

We are awesome. Despite our flaws.... we overcame.

Bow in the awesomivity of the situation, I say....

Great win. But this team needs to improve. Yea they were good they had many great wins last year but did that get them a playoff win? Did that get them to the superbowl? My answer is no.

I would rather this team go 9-7 and win the superbowl than 16-0 and flop in the first round of the playoffs.

This is not a great team. This is a good team. A great team is the 90s Cowboys. If they go deep in the playoffs i will consider this team great. But this team has to prove they can win in the playoffs in order for them to be great.

Nobody is unhappy. But im guarded because i don't want my dreams to be crushed like last year. So im not setting myself up for failure. Keeping everything in perspective.

Thanks Mario for the super optimism. Is a "Saved By The Bell" twenty year reunion in the works?

I hope your equally cautious in celebrating when we win the Super Bowl... in case they decide to overturn the outcome the next day.

Every team needs to improve at this point in the season. Do you think we've hit our peak on defense with Newman playing limited, Adam Jones still readjusting to the game, etc? How about on offense, where we are starting Cory Proctor, haven't really figured out how to use Felix Jones and have a budding Martellus Bennett learning on the go, among other things, including the third receiver shuffle?

These early-season victories shouldn't be expected to be perfect. If we blow out the teams we should blow out and at least edge the tougher ones, we should be happy. Let's wait until at least November to be worrying about how we'll look in the playoffs because several things will look different by then.

Be guarded all you want. Understand, however, that you get no bonus points for being guarded, nor does it make the probability of another playoff win go up. So why not celebrate an AMAZING win that really showed this team's character with your fellow fans instead of feeling like you're some sort of ****ing Einstein who noticed that the defense had a rough night.

Our shortcomings were acknowledged in the very first post of this thread.

But despite all of those, and giving those up to a VERY good team, we still came away with a win, not even 24 hours ago.

Celebrate good times, come on.

Don't blame me for pointing out the obvious problems with this offense that will kill us if they don't get fixed.

If the offensive line doesn't start blocking, they're either going to get Romo killed or force him to keep making dumb throws for interceptions like he always makes.

And the line couldn't run block at all last night. Barber had seven carries for 12 yards in the first half? To quote the great Mickey Spagnola, "You kidding me?" They didn't come to play. On first-and-goal at the 1, you can't even pick up 1 yard with Marion Barber running the ball? You need 4 yards to clinch the game with two minutes left, and you get stuffed for 1? That's not getting it done. We've got to be able to pick up those tough yards when we need them, or we won't go anywhere.

Barber averaged 3.5 yards per carry, and Felix Jones averaged 3.3. Do you think we can beat ANYBODY in the playoffs if we can't run the ball at all?

And don't get me started on Romo's fumblefingers. How many more seasons is he going to ruin because he can't hang onto the ball? Sure, he threw for a bunch of yards, but when he had to make a play in the clutch he CHOKED and overthrow a wide open Barber on what would have been a huge gain to clinch the game! You can't keep doing that and win against good teams.

We need to make drastic changes with this offense, or we won't go anywhere.
