We're just now starting to see the true colors of teams, and a lot can still happen to change a team's fortunes.

Some hot starters will take a step back and some slow starters will emerge as contenders.

The old saying "It's not how you start, it's how you finish" is validated every season, and this season will be no different.

Philly I understand. Lets at least see them fail before we bash a team that is undefeated and has already beat the Cowboys.

The 49er love I just cant wrap my head around though. Not a bad team, dont get me wrong, but losses to Chicago, Denver, Atlanta, and KC, yet so many want to prop them us as a top team in the NFL.

It's a team that has been average all year. They have some playmakers, but still have a 4-4 record with a tougher schedule than a lot of NFC contenders. Sounds crazy to say, but they need to actually make the playoffs before I start to worry about them too much. Now my guess is that Seattle comes back down to earth, probably finishes the year right around the .500 mark and SF wins the division, but the fact that we just label this 4-4 49ers team a top team in the league puzzles me. They have had several let down games already, and all it will take is Seattle taking them down in their rematch to really make things interesting for the 49ers.

At full strength the Cowboys are the best team in the NFC and might be knocking on the door of best in the NFL. They are threatening to be top 5 in both offense and defense and with Turpin, Anger and Maher could be top 5 special teams as well. This team is bordering on scary good.. I mean early 90's good. Yes they still have several miles to go before they get there.. but it's okay to contemplate it at this point.

Been there a few times in the past 27 years only to be at home the second week of the playoffs. It doesn't mean shhhhh now.
It means a lot of excitement going forward because they have outstanding depth throughout the roster. The Cowboys are a very good team. We will see how it works out as the other teams like the Eagles start to lose key players as the season goes on.

Personally, even if Jerry doesn't make another move at all, I see us winning at least 12 games.
I think he is expecting to make the playoffs with the current team. That's why I think he may wait and sign OBJ for the playoff run and try to make trades to shore up OG and DT a little more if he can. I don't think these moves are critical for making the playoffs, but for a chance to win it all.

I agree enjoy it. But we were 6-1 last year and went 6-4 to close the regular season then laid an egg in 1st playoff game.

To say we're a top 2 team in the conference is way premature

Name 2 teams better.

Good chance we end up the 5 seed and travel to the winner of the nfc south or nfc west so likely bucs or 49ers/rams/Seattle but long long long way to go

Yeah SF looks kind of nice right now too.

McCaffrey (I almost always call him "Ed") looks a lot like Pollard.

They're a better team with Jimmy G and McCaffrey now.

I'm with you. I think the top two, and most likely Super Bowl, is Bills vs. Cowboys.

This Super Bowl has the potential to be just like old times in the Aikman vs. Kelly days.

There is a very real possibility that the NFCCG will be Cowboys vs. Eagles. If the Eagles finish in 1st place it will be in Philly; if we somehow take the division it will be in Dallas. I am going on the assumption that Dallas and Philly will end up with the best records in the NFC, so 1 and 5 seeds it is. This is by no means a far-fetched scenario.
