I really don't like Zimmer. One week he'll blitz non stop, the next, not at all. It seems we're constantly bringing in talented players on defense, only to have mediocre results.

how is Davis responsible for a front 4 that rushes the passer the exact same way every play, or for blitzes that are easily defeated because they are so predictable?

Davis is definitely the least talented starter on defense, but when the other 9 or 10 guys are all decent to good, the results should be better than this...

and so much for improvement as the season goes on...from week one to week three its got worse, and we played two bad offensive teams in week two and week three

I swear, it is like people just need a whipping boy. I have never been a fan of Zimmer, but to blame him exclusively for a defense that is absolutely not his is about as simple as you can get.

hey I'm all for a total defensive staff overhaul...have said it a number of threads...

but facts are facts Alex...we've changed over players left and right...changed head coaches...changed schemes...and STILL we see the same crap from a Mike Zimmer led defense

Good points David...and all true...

To me, our 3-4 D is good and for the most part effective on early downs...
We seem to change up the look and be agressive usually...

Where we need changes is where we got beat vs the skins and almost yesterday and for sure will be beat by the raiders if we don't change our ever so passive & predictable nickle D...

You bring up a good point Alex, if its "absolutly" not zimmy's D....Why the freak is that fool even still here collecting a paycheck?

It could be a cloudless sunny day and he couldn't even convince anyone that was the case...He is clueless, without conviction about anything he does...His voice sounds like he is afraid of his own shadow...Not what anyone wants in their DC for America's team...

Burnett isnt playing on defense right now

I missed some of the game yesterday, but I know I saw Burnett in at Ware's spot a few plays. Was this just a few plays to give Ware a breather?

I saw Kevin get mauled one play, and I still have a hard time believing he's a good fit at OLB in a 3-4.
