We beat one team with a winning record

If Garrett finishes 9-7 you can guarantee he will return. Thats all Jerry requires.

We play two teams with losing records the next two weeks, both of them being eliminated already. The stat will stand and Dallas will make the playoffs. Everyone wins.

If the team misses the playoffs this year, Garrett has to be gone, right?

Garret is going no where. The management has never required him to win very much, so why should this off season be any different? Jerry isn't going to suddenly demand excellence from a guy he's never previously held to any kind of standard.

Would you rather lose to bad teams or good ones?

Parity in the NFL is what the goal was when negotiations for the CBA . This is exactly what the NFL wants. Everyone is 8-8 and new teams reach the playoffs each season. Even when teams lose tons of players or make several key acquisitions .

Look at the historical season results since 2004 and see that only the Pats have been consistently competing for rings. Everyone else is stuck in an NFL system built for parity.

The Eagles would have a winning record if Dallas hadn't beaten the twice, for what that's worth. Ask the Rams about the Eagles.

Thing is, Dallas seemed destined for the 4 seed before yesterday and they're still on track for it. Expecting them to go on a wild playoff run was optimistic no matter yesterday's result.

Saints have beat one team with a winning record. They beat the Ravens by 1 point 24-23.
This stat means nothing.

Actually the Saints have wins over the Rams and Vikings but don’t let facts get in the way.

Yes it's two teams when I saw the Saints record before yesterday. Vikings were 6-6-1 when I got the info. They did win yesterday so they now count as another team.

This is why this stat is ridiculous. The teams who beat us early in the season can now count us as team with a winning record. The fact is, we were much worse team when they played us than our current team. Some of the teams that beat us early in the season, will not beat us now.

The difference is the Saints have a better record and have beat most bad teams like the bad teams they are instead of barely scraping by like we have.

I get that but the stat is still very misleading.

If both the Skins and Eagles win next week, Panthers can claim they beat 4 teams with a winning record. Does that mean they are better than us or the Saints now?

It does not really give a true indication of how good or bad a team is currently.

And “Mr, Clutch” Dak Prescott has only two games in his career where he has come back from ten points or more (meaning two scores) and they both came against in 2016, against teams that were giving up close to 500 yards a game in the playoffs.

Student like master, both relying on “polished” good-boy image to keep their careers alive..
