Some fans seem to be enamored with this guy, but I’ve seen enough of him.

How many times have we heard “…if Schultz can just make that block?”

Don’t like his effort at times and his blocking is inconsistent at best. He’s reliable pass catcher that adds little in terms of being a dynamic threat ala Kelce, Waller, Kittle, et cetera.

He may end up commanding top free agent money for some team looking for a walk-in.

I’m all for letting him go.

Hahahaha. With McCarthy, radio and Moore, you’re going to whine about the te.

To be fair, no TE should be asked to block Chandler Jones 1x1. That’s a scheme deficiency, and Schultz shouldn’t be blamed there.

In my opinion, TE is sufficient. He could be a better blocker, but we also can’t have all-pros at every position.

Or maybe the brainchild calling/designing plays could come up with a way to keep him out of one on one blocking situations with the likes of Chandler Jones.

There are plenty of TEs who aren’t great in-line blockers. They have staff around them that help manage that weakness. We have boy wonder he puts a horrible blocker in one on one situations with a devastating pass rusher. I’m honestly ready to love on from Moore. I see nothing exceptional whatsoever in his playcalling or design. I see an OC with a very talented offense who I wouldn’t trust to get anything done with lesser talent.

In the context of what he’s likely to be offered in FA I’m not spending resources on a easily replaceable player.

I know he and Rodgers had their spats at the end, but I’d be open to seeing what McCarthy could do as a play caller here

Oh, absolutely. He’s not good enough to give higher-tier money at his position. We’re in agreement there!

I think that’s the next logical step. I’m honestly hopeful that Moore takes a gig somewhere else. Then MM can put up or ship out. This still feels like a team of rah-rah pretenders who spend too much time sipping their own koolaid. It’s flat out not a well coached team. It’s not a well run team.

They can do better. maybe they will finally hit on a 2nd round TE for once. When you think of all of these 2nd round picks they tried.

At times I like him, but overall not overly impressed. They need to address this in the draft or a FA of one is available.

Me too, Jarwin is under contract next year roll with him.

I agree. He doesn't really strike me as a great receiving tight end either. I think his success is mainly due to the fact the defense has to account for all the wr options we have.

He's not fast, doesn't run great routes, and can't block.

But his stats are good because the defense can't focus on everyone out there

Bingo. If you know a player can't perform a certain task, yet you design plays where he has to do that, that's on the playcaller.

Blame the stupid play calls that had him blocking Chandler Jones.
