We Can Do Better than Schultz

TEs who block well generally aren’t very good.

Kelce, Andrews, and Kyle Pitts… Can’t block.

Agree. He is kind of a dime a dozen player. He is just a mid level starting TE.

he wouldn’t be that great on an offense where he had to be the #1 or #2 option and he misses blocks far too often.

How many times have we heard “…if Schultz can just make that block?”

Don’t like his effort at times and his blocking is inconsistent at best. He’s reliable pass catcher that adds little in terms of being a dynamic threat ala Kelce, Waller, Kittle, et cetera.

He may end up commanding top free agent money for some team looking for a walk-in.

I’m all for letting him go.

They are not going to have a choice but to let him walk. They have a ton of issues and/or other priority FAs.

I think this is an example of fans getting ahead of the inevitable player losses by trying to downplay them before they leave.

If we’ve seen ‘he wasn’t that good’ said once about a departed player, we’ve seen it a million times.

Yeah I actually think Noah Brown would be a better blocking TE than Shultz and he is a lot cheaper

I agree. Unless he signs for a reasonable amout.
it’s very difficult to have a great run game with two bad blocking te’s

He’s been one of our better players this year. He’s had an excellent season. Why some fans are knocking him is beyond me. He’s not a great blocker but he moves the chains.

Until he has to block. It’s the blocking that he gets knocked for.

He’s top 3 in receptions for his position. Find a better target for your ire.
