There is no solution to playing better other than the offense playing mistake-free football.

Schematically, they have to be way, way more aggressive on both sides of the ball. Forget the run game, you have to get vertical on offense and get in the backfield on defense.

The defense can't be worse next week, that's for sure.

But there were two obvious issues and one less talked about. First, that sequence of 4 players all swing passes to RB to the right of the defense. No one had the RB out of teh backfield 4 times? That seems like an obvious problem and an easy fix.

Then they had the sequence of 3 deep outs, also for a TD. The final play left the TE uncovered in the end zone. Another obvious problem that needs to be fixed.

Then there was the 3rd problem I saw that may be a little harder to fix. The coverage of TEs. The Giants TEs, all of them, were wide open and catching passes for 1st downs all night long. Is this a personnel issue? or a scheme issue? Whatever the case someone needs to get that fixed asap.

All up to Parker and whether he's truly a D savante. If he is, he knows what he did wrong and will correct it.

One thing is straight though, cant go to Brazil 0-2. You need some Mojo.

To me the Washington game is already a must win.

The 1st 7 games the way it is laid out if very tough.

This game sucked big time. If they look the same nest game it could be a long 1st half of the season.
But if they want to make the playoffs, they can't dig themselves in a hole waiting for it all to get.
3-4 at the worse or it may be too late.

I think many (the majority) were predicting 3-4 or 4-3 and some at 2-5 or 5-2

I think so, and believe me I am not one of those people thinking Dallas is going to the SB anytime soon. I think 9-8 is probably going to be their record, maybe 8-9. This was one of those games where lots went right for the Giants and lots went wrong for Dallas. I don't think Pickens and Lamb will play this poorly every week. I don't think Dak will either. I think the defense has the potential to get better but the jury is out on Parker.

IF the opponent has a strong enough oline with a good to decent RB this defense will be challenged because they lack physicality. The only one I see is Barham that fits the mold of what is needed at his 2nd level

At the first level Clark and Williams need some kinda undetectable steroid program in order to handle the strength of the guard-center-guard trios they will encounter. They failed miserably against the Giants Runyan/JMSchmitz/Mauioga with the lead FB.

This was the primary reason for the loss. The play action to Likely and Nabers and those same multi-used swing passes were all set up by their getting dominated at the point of attack by the run game.

So if you know a little bit about other team's rosters then take a look at the head to head matchups in the oline v. dline categories and take it from there.
This is with the caveat that you can't assume the Dallas player is automatically better than the guy he's lining up against.
Cuz man did the Giants expose this false superiority complex.
If the opponent is big and physical it's gonna be a challenge.
Cuz Dallas is not.
AGAIN.
And no DC or scheme can change the lack of physicality theyre lacking.

Baltimore coming to town, just dropped over 50, we cant stop the run, and Derrick Henry and Lamar are coming to town. Loss

That has us at 1-7.

My honest opinion is they will correct enough to not be buried early.

Im as disgusted as anyone, but outliers happen week 1 especially.

Last year the Raider beat the Pats. We had the vaunted Rams look terrible. The Chargers were horrible against the Cards and the Packers absolutely collapsed vs the Vikings.

Im not at all confident in this team after that performance but I dont expect the whole year to be over in a few weeks.
