Looking at our upcoming schedule.

We may be in bigger trouble than a lot of you are admitting.

This team doesn't have time to figure it out.

We have Washington next - and they didn't look bad against the Eagles. That game could have gone either way. Its also a divisional game, and this team has had issues with running QBs for years. Its a divisional game which Dak usually shows up for but since BS took over, we seem to have issues with the Giants too now.

If we lose - (and i think we might) we are in big trouble.

Baltimore coming to town, just dropped over 50, we cant stop the run, and Derrick Henry and Lamar are coming to town. Loss

Then we have Houston - who had the best D in the league last season (we all now how Dak and BS perform in those situations). Loss.

Then the Bucs, and Packers followed by the Eagles. Win, Loss, Loss.

That has us at 1-7.

I want your honest opinions here. Take the fan out of you for a moment and be logical.

I'd like to say 3-4, but if we're playing it safe, I'd go with 2-5. I don't think judging how this team will play based solely on the Giants game is the best approach. A lot can change over the next few weeks.

This is still a week-to-week league. Teams win games they're expected to lose and lose games they're expected to win all the time. There's no reason to think we know exactly what this Cowboys team will look like by the time they get to Philly.

When it comes to the Cowboys, I stopped buying into the hype about this team decades ago...thats' why I pick them to go 9-8 every year, they're a mediocre team at best, regardless what Jerry and the talking twits on TV say..How anybody thought that changing out the coaching staff, installing a new scheme, make trades, sign free agents, drafting new players and think with all those changes without playing any preseason games that you could just show up in NY and flick on a light switch and think things would be different on defense is utter delusion.....I think the defense will get better over time throughout the season but I don't see a major improvement.....After week one, this defense didn't look any different from the disaster I watched last year!!

Yeah that it’s just one game was suppose to be a W. It for sure can get ugly and as of right now I expect s dog fight with Commanders.

Dallas tends to hang around the rim, even last year with that atrocious D they had a moment after the QW trade. Dallas will beat the Football Team. At very least they'll drag this season out to the bitter end.

As CowboyfaninHouston has commented a few times and I'll echo:
If they can't fix the run dee it's not gonna be much better than last year if any.
Everything negative defensively will be a trickle down effect from not being able to stop the run.
I mean there was no more clearer example than what the Giants ex posed.
First they couldn't stop Scattebo or Dart running the ball and that inability opened up the most basic play action execution that the Giants just played the pick your poison game.

It all starts with stopping the run.
Do that and you can go forward.
Don't and you look like last year.

If our WRs keep dropping passes, if Dak keeps throwing bad INTs, if they can't run the football, and if they keep committing 7 penalties per half then they will not win many games. But I think we saw the worst of Dallas Sunday night. This team is better than that.

Anyone who believed this team can go to a Super Bowl was just foolish. They have some real problems. The lack of a pass rush for one. The inconsistent running game for another.

I am not convinced the CBs are any good so not having a pass rush is a really big problem.

We don't really know what they have in Christian Parker. I am not optimistic by what I saw Sunday night. I saw some thing I have never seen before in the NFL. For example, 4 swing passes for an easy TD was a first in my memory, but 3 deep outs for an easy TD was also really bad. You have to wonder how that can happen. Those overshadowed what I think was a bigger problem, the inability to cover TEs. The Giants TEs were open all night grabbing passes for crucial first downs to extend long drives.

If we see the same problems we saw against the Giants the next game, I think it will be time to start questioning if Parker is the guy or if they will be looking for a new DC again next year.

I wouldn't be so worried, despite the loss and the tough schedule, if the Boys looked like they showed up in any facet Sunday night, but it was ugly all around. The defense was, well, you know. Even the offense looked shaky, with our WRs dropping passes, Dak looking shaky, and of course, more penalties.

None of this inspires any kind of confidence.

We all know that teams coming off of a terrible performance loss, typically come back the next week and prove doubters wrong.
