a name like john david booty is too much like serial killer or child molester, such john wayne gacy or john mark karr. not to mention a fiasco he may cause when entering games. instead of simply getting into a game, it may be referred to as a booty call.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here....

USC's QB John Booty will be a better pro than Matt Leinart. (Write it down.) Ppl forget how productive he was in 2006 when he performed as well any recent USC QB product. One thing that separates him fr Leinart is his noggin, in that he makes better decisions on and off the field. Their arm strength is a comparable, but JDB is more accurate. This could be the Yikes ticket to the big show eventually...

I'll go out on a limb and suggest that there are more pictures of Leinart in a hot tub with "Booty" when he was in college.

Well, it's Dexter, of course. And who said I won't change it? My sig space is for rent. Would you like to be considered as a sponsor? I will need a corporate profile and some financials from you, just the standard stuff.

Please don't make me put you on ignore for a while just because of Dexter.

This sounds serious, and I'd surely hate to deprive you of my posts here. So what exactly is the nature of your problem with Dex?

I am happy that the Cowboys didn't draft him, and it rests completely on his name. The Vikes are going to endure ridicule, and P.R. problems like you cannot believe.

"John David Booty goes to the party boat scandal team"

The instant quarterback controversy the instant Tavaris Jackson has a subpar game in week 1. The crowd chants nonstop from the 1st quarter on.

"We want booty, we want booty, we want booty!"

As soon as John David wins his first game, the players carry him off in a Rudy-esque fashion.

"Booty! Booty! Booty! Booty!Booty! Booty! Booty! Booty! Booty! Booty! Booty! Booty!

I'll be honest, I think the Cowboys avoided a P.R. nightmare by "missing out" on this pick.

Anybody else see Stephen Jones on with Babe L late last night on CBS 11? He was axed which player slipped away from them before they could select him, and he tried to avoid the question but finally spit out J D Booty. I wanted to grab Booty too; It's time to bring in a developmental guy and I really liked his accuracy and experience in a big time prgm... His 2006 performance was superb. It's true he tailed off last yr but is expected to round into form under a good position coach (Childress is exceptional with QBs but doesn't have a whole lot to work with in T Jackson). I wouldn't be shocked to see him step in late this yr if Jackson falters, which is quite plausible. I'd would've even been happy with Andre Woodson who was ripe for the pickin until late. Now we could have made a modest trade-up to get either of these guys and achieved great value.

However, this my only real beef with the draft overall.

BTW Jerry Jones will be on the Ticket this am at 8:50.

Booty was considered to be the QB most ready for the NFL this year. It is his arm that kept him from being drafted sooner. If he learns to release the ball quickly and make good decisions he will probably stick for a few years at least. I like him and think he could be a decent bus driver.

Actually, you're on my nice list, so I wouldn't put you on ignore.
Dexter freaks me out because I don't know who he is, so he makes me feel tragically unhip. Also, he looks like a gay Idol contestant, not that there's anything wrong with that. The gay part, not the American Idol part.

It has come out that Booty scored a 14 on his Wonderlic. He was already marginal for height, marginal for arm strength and marginal for athleticism.

Drew Brees is short and does not have a strong arm, but he has decent athleticism and is pretty smart. Vince Young did not score well on his wonderlic, but he is 6'-5", 240 lbs or so, is very athletic and has a strong arm. You start adding comparing the pros vs. the cons and I guess JDB had more of the latter.

Man I've never seen a QB fall like woodson. 4 months ago he was a top 20 pick and hell fell to the 6th round. I'm not that impressed with booty. Would have loved to taken a shot on woodson.

That usually means the scouts didn't like what they saw during the workouts. They ask these QBs to make all these kinds of throws, and if the QB is inaccurate or can't get the ball where it needs to go, it can really downgrade the QB's stock a lot. Remember, they ask the QBs to make "NFL" throws, and all the film on a guy is usually whatever offense they run in college.

Well, these are indeed troubling charges against my forum sig. Maybe I ought to conduct an informal poll as to whether Dexter Sig stays or goes. BTW I'm pretty sure Dexter isn't gay; I view him more as asexual than anything else. Anyway, I'm given to changing avatars and such on a whim so stay tuned. This was actually my first sig here and was it generously offered to me by someone else. Maybe I'll luck into another and I'll switch.

Meanwhile if you're a Firefox user you can do what I do when i tire of others' graphics, which is right click on an image and choose "block images from..." and shazzam! no more offending images form that host. Also, I will probably throttle back here for spell until training camp rolls around...:D

Right. This is why he wasn't a top tier qb prospect but he has an upside, too, I think. I'm not convinced by his less than stellar wonderlic that he's incapable of processing the game. He's demonstrated differently in a big time prgm and he has a good football background with a passion for the game. And don't undervalue his character, part of which is solid decision making. But it's really too late to pimp Booty, so to speak--what's done is done. Bet he takes over in Minni sooner than later...
