We Do Not Need Anymore Skill Position Players

If I see one more thread about the Boys needed to get or draft a skill position player I am gonna lose my mind!!!!!!

Listen people we have a great 1-2 combo at running back with Murray and Jones, 3 very good recievers Austin, Dez, and Rob, and a great tight end in Witten. Other than maybe Green Bay no one has better skill position players than us. The problem is our offensive line sucks which is why our offense hasn't reached our potential.

I agree. We need to build the offensive and defensive lines.

Right. The only premier position you can argue that they need a serious upgrade is at CB.

If they don't resign LR, they'll need another receiver. It'd be nice to have a real kick return threat (besides Dez).

So wait we don't need CB or KR/PR?
If we don't resign L.Robinson we're good without another WR?

I agree with you in general though

Laurent Robinson should be the first player resigned. Along with the veterans the team wishes to retain. But new players added, with 2-3 in free agency and the top two rounds of the draft, could well be where it will comply with what the team really needs the most. And a really tough interior offensive line would change game dynamics in favor of the Cowboys.

Yep. You build a great team from the trenches -> outwards on both sides of the ball.

Not just O-Line but D-Line, we fix those and the team gets 100x better.....that's a fact

But to say we don't need skill players is ********. Do we need big boys first? Yes, but we still need CB's, KR/PR, and maybe another WR.

Or rearrange some of them....;)

The Cowboys have good players on both sides of the ball. Time to make it work.

This team needs a center and two guards and flip Smith and Free and the defensive line needs an overhaul. pressure starts with defense and Dallas just doesn't get any pressure other than Ware and he is over rated as far as I'm concerned...

To me every position is a skill position.

And every team needs them.

Whether for depth, the future, or a starter.

the o-line and the secondary are the areas that really need the help.

So wait we're not going to sign Matt Forte and Desean Jackson

For me, five completely new players would make a world of difference. Myself, three studs for the Dallas interior line, and two really strong cornerbacks would make me an immensely happy camper. Three from free agency and two from the top of the draft. That leaves plenty of picks to add to the future at he 'skill positions.' Or a future nose tackle, middle linebacker, or defensive end.

Serious question is Wes Welker a HOF player ?

He first must produce at high levels for a longer time period. He hits recent levels associated with HOF totals, but career totals will determine.

I often wonder if some of you get football. Not just Cowboys fans but fans in general.

Not disputing what Hostile was stating... because everyone knows the Cowboys need some secondary help, perhaps even better coaching for that position.

But if your front 7 are are on a 1-10 scale of 7 overall, you are a very good defensive team. At a 5 still good. You get an 8 overall and your defense is typically amazing.

You do not need 10's at every position. It has never happened for any team. I would put the Cowboys front 7 between a 6-7.

As a team, they have to compliment each other. The Patriots and Giants have done this for a while.

I agree for the most part, but HOF totals vary wildly.

Don't you think the fact that the Pats run a turnstyle at certain positions may hurt him and other Patriots ?
