We don't control our destiny in getting the 2 seed

Our problem is simple. We swept our AFC games, so all of our losses are against NFC teams. All of the teams we're competing against for one of the top two seeds lost at least one AFC game so they have fewer NFC losses. It sucks, but that's how it works, unfortunately,

We're looking at this the wrong way. Regardless of what the Cowboys do, we are absolutely rooting for the Seahawks to lose next week so that the Cowboys get the Cardinals in the first round.

I don't think it's possible to get the Cardinals in the 1st round. They're either going to get a 1st round bye or get the 5 seed and play the NFC South champs.
