Pollard, Gallup, Biadasz, Armstrong - they may not have been great but they were still good productive players who were drafted in round 3 or later. The sad thing is that the Cowboys had a lot of good draft classes and nothing to show for it. When you hit on players drafted on Day 2/Day 3, that should be the icing on the cake because they should compliment your premium/1st round talent and QB.

Eventually, the Cowboys draft luck is going to run out and they will start drafting like most of the NFL, with a lot of misses. It may have already started last year with that 2023 draft class.

These are all guys a good front office would be able to replace without a huge problem. But it's tough to do all at once, particularly when we've whiffed as often as we have on picks after Round 1 lately. (And let's be honest...every sign points to the fact that we whiffed on our first round pick last year.)

I'd rather clean cap space now in a lame duck coach year and have cap room and a higher pick for the 2025 HC. Better than Throwing some band-aids on a decapitation "wound" and wasting another season while messing the cap up even worse for 2-3 more years.

It's OK. We will replace all of them with cheap, even-more-mediocre players in free agency once the dust settles.

(All right, Tyron isn't mediocre when he's able to play, but we haven't exactly lost him yet. If we do, the plan is probably to move Tyler to LT and start Bass at LG.)
