We had 3 starters out, a new C, playing his first game, new RG, Chedoga playing LT and Tyler Smith his first game of the season at LG. When we get all our starters back, we will be fine.
and yet the defense played like total crap and nobody wants to admit it... also i don't know that the cardinals....t every player we had out in coverage were locked down.. and the defense has you down by 21 points in the first half... nobody's getting open missing players on the offensive line.. add in all the penalties we had game over.

Sorry, no. Yes, playing with a banged up o line isn’t ideal and no easy task but that’s literally zero excuse to lose this game nor did a lineman miss tackles, take bad angles etc.

True, but they had the same issues getting the ball in the end zone last week when most of them played.

Thanks for your positivty. I actually thought the backups blocked in the run game pretty well today. However, pass protection definitely took a step back which is expected with 60% being backups and another starting his first game.

Lot of film to look at across multiple positions but I'm not panicking like some here.

That is NOT an excuse! For Pete’s sake, I’m tired of us using injuries as excuse! Ravens are injury ridden already and they look good. Packers had lots of injuries today and won against the Saints, who is a respectable team.

Losing to the Cardinals is a sick joke.

This is what you get for not preparing. And if you think more OL injuries are not going to happen again, then enjoy

I knew the patchwork OL was going to be a struggle but this is still a game you should have won, even if it was only by 1 point.

OL was good enough to get them inside the red zone plenty of times. The defense was generally poor but they held the Cardinals to 7 points in the 2nd half. A capable offense with its best QB, WR, RB healthy should have been able to seize control in that 2nd half, even with the backup OL.

Yet the Cowboys ran the ball well and the pressure on Dak was nothing extraordinary.

The D was bad, but Dak had every opportunity to win the game and couldn't. Against an awful team playing several backups.

Some of those kids held their own. Looks like we will have good depth, but I can't wait to get the starters back in there.

Im not so sure. Those starting O-Lineman aren't going to help the play calling. The Red Zone has been bad with most of them healthy as well - no reason to assume thats going to change because they come back..
It sounds like everyone was sleepwalking out there, thats on coaching and preparation and personal pride. Too much ego and boasting all week. Not respecting or not taking your opponent seriously.
Not sure what they brought Cooks in here for - thought he was a difference making WR. 400 + yards allowed by an offense run by a guy named Dobbs, really? So much for Doomsday talk.

The running game was actually good today. I think the issue was the gameplan for all those short passes. Don't think the coaches trusted this group to pass protect but it made it feel like the Cowboys were playing in a shell or something today.
