We have clearly improved

This team will be better because of coaching let alone the talent we have on this team. We have alot of top 10 and top 5 players on this team. Combine that with Jason Garrett and Rob Ryan coaching up this team, we will be at least a 10 win team...

Romo - easy top 10
Austin - top 5 maybe easy top 10
Dez - top 5 potential
Witten - top 5
Free - top 10
Gurode - top 10 easily
Ware - best rusher period
Ratliff - top 5 easy top 10
Newman - when healthy easy top 10

I'll give you Newman but I dont agree. The problem isnt these guys, its the other 13 starters, and the reserves.

My parents loved me too, but they wouldn't have looked the other way if I was a bully or failing a subject at school. Love shouldn't blind you to certain realities.

You're comparing the bond between a parent and a child to that of a schmuck and a ball club that tangentially acknowledges that person's existence if they happen to buy a PSL?

I hate to borrow from my buddy nyc-cowboy, but wow.

Romo just cracks my top 10
Austin is not top 10 top 15 maybe but not top 10
Dez could very well be the best WR in football in a few years
Witten is the best TE in football period
Free is solid not sure i'd call him top 10
Gurode i have no idea how he kepts getting into the probowl, he's not top 10 he's average
Ware best period
Ratliff last year was not top 5
Newman hasn't been healthy for ages, he might have been top 10 at one point but that is a long time ago

Again, it shouldn't bother you if some of us love what we see about the Cowboys.

In Big-D you see 17 Years of D-istractions, D-isappointments, D-railings, D-umbdowns, D-irtbags, D-isasters and D-drafts.

I think bb responded to someone else that already did the same thing.

No, I saw it. Bizwah said that he loved the team. That's nothing. That's our language's fault because there is only one verb for love compared to the seven or eight that were available in Latin.

So then, bbgun was the one who compared love for the Cowboys to the love between a parent and a child.

It's a frickin' hobby. And maybe that's the impetus for some of the vitriol I see out of the alleged realists. They think of the Cowboys as a family member or a child. Too bad that don't think of us the same way.

Oh brother.....it was a simple analogy.

Oh, okay. I see now. Do I still have to sacrifice a kitten on the altar of realism for the penance of my sins?

like I said, bb responded to someone that had already brought the child thing into it

I doubt you'll change minds.

Um, someone else brought up the parent-kid analogy. I was just playing along.

It's easier and easier to distance yourself from the emmotional roller coaster of following a franchise after 17 years of stupidity, so on a personel level hope everyone will accpet my humble apology FOR ABSOLUTELY HATING the LOSING way the ONCE greatest team in NFL Franchise has been run for near two Decades!

He clearly posted the thread looking for a reaction/feedback. Only the ones who agreed with him should have replied?

No....by all means reply. That's why messageboards are great.

You seem to have a lot of venom for folks that are "positive". Like you said in your last post....it's ok to disagree.

I just don't see the point in belittling someone that disagrees.

He wasn't merely "positive." He had a checklist with a lot of questionable and debatable items on it. When you do that, you're begging to be fisked.
