We Have Reached Mach 1

Oh I have no doubt it ironically works out here and there but if you were to breakdown the trades over the last 5 years your going to find 90% of them are off from the chart.

Like I said, every team uses something similar but the values change. Matter of fact, maybe this weekend I'll try to post a piece on exactly what I'm talking about.

oh i totally agree with you there, thats what im hoping with the dolpins, for them to jump up that high to get cam newton if he is there, they have to give us at least a # 3 or # 2 future 2012 draft pick, along with a 3rd, 4th and 7th

really want their # 2 pick in 2012, we possibly could trade that future pick, to get back up into 2nd round or 1st round, to get a stud player, or keep that 2nd pick in 2012 to move up in 2012 draft with our # 1 pick to get another impact player

#16. Tyron Smith, OT, USC, 6'6", 300.
#40. Rahim Moore, S, UCLA, 6'1", 195.
#49. Mason Foster, ILB, Washington, 6'1", 240.
#71. Davon House, CB, New Mexico State, 6'0", 185.
#109. John Moffitt, OG, Wisconsin, 6'4", 315.
#140. Henry Hynoski, FB, Pittsburgh, 6'1", 260.

#171. John Clay, RB, Wisconsin, 6'1", 250.
#209. Greg McElroy, QB, Alabama, 6'3", 225.
.

Like trading down if Peterson is gone. Don't like Smith, prefer Carimi or Solder.
Love the Moore pick although I'll be a little surprised if he's there.
Don't know much about Foster or House.
Love the Moffitt and Clay picks.
Would like to see a NT and someone like Cecil Shorts who can add some sizzle to this draft.

Looks like you are projecting most of the front seven from last years defense to return. That aint good.

Been telling people for weeks, "be prepared."

Sooner or later people will start listening to this advice.

Tyron Smith OT USC (12 year cornerstone at OT) (20 years old)

Greetings........

See Felix Jones explode...

See Jason Witten actually not having to block for Colombo...

See Tony Romo better protected and taking less hits...

See Dez Bryant and Miles Austin have more deep opportunities...

See time of possession go up...

See running game improve, big time, as the entire field opens up more...

See points scored more consistently...

See defense on the sideline more...

See short yardage running improve as the field opens up and Smith does Davis' pulling down the line...

See Felix Jones run stretches, tosses, sweeps, Power O, screens, and counters to the right and have day light and second level blocking...

Running off tackle to the right is open for business...:)

Jones gets a great run blocker and better fullback in this draft, and Newman gets a safety.

I approve.:):)

#171. John Clay, RB, Wisconsin, 6'1", 250. I am going to complete my short yardage needs with a man who if he can't find the hole will make his own. I believe Barber could be gone and though I love him I am okay with that. He has given his body to this team. Time to pass the torch. Here is the torchbearer for the short yardage, or hard yard needs.
I only watched this guy in two games last year but I was very impressed. He was nothing short of awesome against OSU.

Agree on this. Thumper to wear down a D.

Blaine had better turn some heads at the combine. He needs to look really good for this scenario to occur.

Whoa, talk about switch it up. Interesting mock.

Although you did have us drafting a FB and a HB, so I'll give it an A- :)

Get it? Mach instead of Mock.

Some may thing it was a typo and supposed to be March, but it was intentional. Time to put my thinking cap on. Please feel free to share your critiques and thoughts.

Okay, so my guy Peterson is gone. What do I do? Me personally, I trade down and stockpile picks. I think Washington is going to grab a QB at 10, so someone should be willing to move up to 9 and get their guy.

So we trade #9 for #16 and Jaguars 2nd round pick, #49. You pay the price for QBs and they take Blaine Gabbart away from Washington.

#16. Tyron Smith, OT, USC, 6'6", 300. Now, I will take the OT that I actually want and feel we got a steal. I am not willing to roll the bones on him at #9, but as a top 20 pick, I have no issues with it at all. He has potential that is through the roof. OL needs attention.

#40. Rahim Moore, S, UCLA, 6'1", 195. With my true plan to grab Peterson I move Newman to FS and take a 3rd round gamble on Deunta Williams. Can't do that now, so I have to address Safety now since I probably keep Newman at CB. Moore is not a consolation prize, he is a day 1 starter next to Sensabaugh.

#49. Mason Foster, ILB, Washington, 6'1", 240. Guarenteed to be the pick I love the most if we take him. He played OLB at Washington but he absolutely can play ILB. Against Oregon State he played spy against one of my pet cats, Jacquizz Rodgers and that is hard to do if you are assigned to only one side of the field. He and Sean Lee would be side by side heat seeking missiles for many years.

#71. Davon House, CB, New Mexico State, 6'0", 185. A solid cover corner with great skills to the football. A pick I don't hesitate to make because I believe he is much higher than this pick in talent but because he plays at NMSU. If he played at a Florida or Texas school he could be a high 2nd round pick.

#109. John Moffitt, OG, Wisconsin, 6'4", 315. Not sure why he is dropping on so many mocks, but he is. I'll still take him as developmental depth if nothing else. I love the way this guy looks for targets to hit when he pulls on sweeps.

#140. Henry Hynoski, FB, Pittsburgh, 6'1", 260. Now that I have addressed depth on D and my OL I want to fix my short yardage team. I'm going to start with the guy hitting the hole first and that guy is this earth mover who will flat out knock the taste out of your mouth.

#171. John Clay, RB, Wisconsin, 6'1", 250. I am going to complete my short yardage needs with a man who if he can't find the hole will make his own. I believe Barber could be gone and though I love him I am okay with that. He has given his body to this team. Time to pass the torch. #209. Greg McElroy, QB, Alabama, 6'3", 225. He is the QB I want. I think he is a backup and even if he spends a year or two on the PS, so what? He is smart, perhaps has a career in coaching. Let's mine whatever ore is there for ourselves.

Big fan of the Boys trading down. It just seems that Jerry and co. would be reaching for a player at #9.

I can't be a one trick pony all the time ya know.

I'll be back to my tired Patrick Peterson agenda faster than you can say jack rabbit, but it pays to think now and then.

This would be my favorite pick of your mock if the draft played out as you've laid it out. The no D-line is interesting to me, why did you play it that way?

ps. Your missing Wisneiwski :D

Because I won't be surprised if the team plays it that way.

I like this draft better than the one with the Peterson pick. I'd be pretty happy with this. Especially if it means we're leaning towards keeping Spears and Bowen on the roster (I gather it's already decided we're keeping Bowen).

Brian Baker, Rob Ryan, and Jason Garrett have all let the FO know they would like Bowen, Hatcher, and Spears back. I believe they also want Sensy, Kosier, and Free back. I am not so sure on Hurd. Ball apparently will be allowed to walk away.

i think they're going to let kosier and spears walk along with hurd and ball. Spears wants to be paid. I think some other team will offer spears more. The bills in particular. Startup 3-4.

my 2 new faves for this draft are Rahim Moore and Marvin Austin. Austin is a big body with athleticism. 6-3 312 lbs. Line him up in front of Ware and thats a nightmare for opposing teams.

Im still thinking that Woicik is going to work his magic on Colombo and Davis. This IMO is going to be the best pickup of 2011 for the Cowboys. Dallas just developed into a strong slow clumsy team.

That's great to hear. Free is a no-brainer, and Kosier I suspected would be back. Bowen I was pretty sure about, but I thought Spears was a goner, for sure. Listening to Jay Ratliff talk about that front 7, those guys really want to stay together. I bet it's relatively easy to work something out if we want them.

I'm less keen on a long term deal for Sensabaugh. He's an ok player, but I'd rather not break the bank on him. We do probably need him for at least another year, though.

If your new DC and position coach, not to mention your new head coach, ask you to sign three of your own FA DL, you can pretty much guarantee that this front office will try to do it.

Re: the OL, I'd love to see them play better. It sounds to me like Colombo really was playing on one leg with his turf toe at the end of last year. I can't think of any other reason for keeping him based off of his play. Davis, I can't imagine we can't upgrade that position during draft or FA. Bigg has been a huge disappointment the last two seasons. Literally. Listening to Houck say that they've diagnosed his problems, but haven't fixed it in four years isn't exactly heartening. It's not something that Woicik is going to be able to fix.
