J.Reeves and R. williams are flatout terrible. once and for all. we have to attack this problem like NE did WR's this past offseason. im sick and tired of seeing recievers run wide open. Reeves and Roy have no business starting in the NFL.

Reeves is good in the roll that we use him in.

As far as asking him to do what we asked him to do today then we'd be screwed.

Roy on the other hand has been a disapointment for awhile.

When all guys are on the field at one time though I believe its a above average unit.

I do think we could use some better depth though at corner.

Reeves is only starting because of injuries so that gets fixed as soon as Newman is healthy.

We could use 2 cover corners, the first pick we have overall should cover one. Bill didn't gamble, Wade does. Not only will Roy stay he will take over in the Bill Bates nickle D. Wade is also a student of the game.

Agreed.

This team definately needs another GOOD CB. Reeves is a decent 4th guy and injury fill in right now. With his speed, he might have a bit of upside, but he's like in his 4th year now right, although his first starts really this year.

We need another fast cover guy.

Safety we need some insurance. Roy might never be the same. Watkins still isn't a certain solution but he does show steady improvement each year. Hamlin is UFA, and how expensive is he after called to probowl. Killer is great special teamer and ok backup, but not starter material.

The Secondary could make our front 7 look that much better if it could play tighter and more man. It's our D's weakness certainly.

Otherwise on D, only inside LB could use an upgrade i think.

Outside LB and Dline is hugely solid I think! Dont' change a thing at those 2 spots.

That's not a ton of holes. I'd look at secondary both in draft and freeagency. Almost certainly need a CB with one of our first 3 picks. Henry and Newman aren't super young anymore and get knicked up consistently.

No it does not. injuries is not the only reason we have a bad secondary. any team that goes to 3 or 4 wides will give us big problems. we have no corners who can cover but Newman and henry.J.reeves, would not be a the number three corner for any other team in the NFL. not even Miami.

What role is Reeves good in? He can't stop a third down to save his life.

Henry has been playing zone and mostly been giving a good cushion. Cover cornes is a prime need if we really want to play a straight up D against 3-4 WR sets.

Wouldn't mind a corner with one of our firsts like Jenkins or Cason. This is a solid year for them.

QFT. He's not even a serviceable 3rd corner. We need Mike Jenkins or Antoine Cason.

What did Roy do in this game that was so bad (in coverage)? Or are people just talking out their arses again?

I fully advocate snaring a stud CB in the 1st this draft.

Wanted Revis last year.

He looks like a really nice athlete, but the height (6'2") scares me.

As long as he can turn his hips he'll be fine.

Besides, we need an aggressive, physical CB like him on the team. I'd like to see him and Henry jacking up WRs at the LOS on third downs with Newman mirroring the slot man.

Yeah, I just like to limit possibilities for error. It's unusual to be that tall and play well at corner. He might be the best available, though. Jenkins and Cason could both go before 22.

Hate to say it but.......Can you tell me what he has done this year to make him stand out?

I have refused to bash Roy this year but i have come to realize he is average at best. A few years ago he was making deathy hits, making recievers and backs fear him. Unfortunantly not he is a target of most offensive coordinators and he has not stepped up is game or is not making the plays he used too. Im a Cowboy fan and as hard as it is to admit it Roy has degressed.

He led the team in solo tackles. That "stands out" for a safety on a team with a very good front seven. Typically, having a safety as your leading tackler isn't a good thing. But we've got a good front seven, so it's really just speaks to Roy's ability, rather than a lack of ability from our front 7.
