We have Tyrone Crawford an RDE

There is 0 reason to move DLaw to the right side. No comparison, but Reggie White played the left side. It's smart to get your best pass rusher against the 2nd best OT. The only reason more teams don't do it is because many have smaller speed rushers as their best guy, even OLBs, and you have to be stout against the run on the right side.

I thought Demontre Moore looked very good for his first game; he will only get better over the next couple weeks. DLaw and Moore on the left side; Charlton, Mayowa, and Tapper on the right side. Crawford and Irving will improve the pass rush from the inside and outside, wherever needed.

I know he's not coming back, most likely, but one can dream of a healthy DLaw on one side with Gregory on the other side, Collins and Irving inside, and everyone else as depth.

I agree as long as they have size. LDE needs to be able to take on double teams and combos from the TE/OT. Certain players can only play RDE because of this but I agree with your point here. With how teams spread and limit protections isolating on the RT is often the better matchup.

Thats where Lawrence becomes an ideal LDE. He has the strength to play like he is 15 pounds heavier then he is and can anchor against the run. He also has the skill set of an RDE that can attack from multiple alignments. Isolating him on a RT is going to be a mismatch in most cases, and a potentially game changing one in many
