Yeah I too thought that genius would adjust. Apparently not so much.

It's hard to adjust when the other team is dominating the line of scrimmage. I guess he could have gone full-on max protect.

slippery slope.

You can say the Cowboys beat the Packers in 2014 because of the bad call. The Kings are the rightful 2002 NBA champions because the league and refs rigged it for the Lakers that year. That the Saints are retroactively the 2018 NFC Champions because a flag should have been thrown. The 2007 San Antonio Spurs championship is invalidated because of the Horry Hipcheck incident leading to the Suns best players getting suspended for the pivotal game 5. Atlanta deserved to win yesterday because of the bad roughing the passer call on Brady, etc. The Patriots' championship in 2014 shouldn't count because of deflated footballs.

A win by any which way is a win, and a loss is a loss. That's it and that's all. Records are records. There's no moral victory or moral loss. There's no shades of grey in sports; only an objective black and white.

Little different, Bonds was found guilty of lying to congress when they held hearings on the PED investigations, there was evidence he was cheating by juicing. Now if they determine that Judge has done this as well then the record means nothing.

lotta folks on here told us all off-season how we should emulate what the rams did.
they were the next dynasty and the new template in this modern era on how to build a championship team.
well...we just smashed that template over their heads and put the boy wonder thru the announcers table.
the rams lost because
:starspin:WE WON:starspin:.

I tell you, you would think so, Moore made some adjustments but the mighty McVay either did make adjustments or just made some poor ones. lol

If we win a Super Bowl doing it this way, then I'll gladly take my licking for believing that we should make better use of free agency. Otherwise, I'd still prefer emulating the Rams and making two Super Bowls to reaching the playoffs and being quickly eliminated. I could live with being great one year and mediocre the next over a first-round exit at best every year.

it doesn't matter what "evidence" comes up post mortem, if a sporting record or accomplishment happens at the time and isn't immediately dq'ed on the spot like Maximum Security in the 2019 Kentucky Derby, then the record is etched in the books and is final, I don't believe in "take backs" and nobody else should, it's such a slippery slope.

Lance Armstrong is 7-time Tour De France champion and nobody can take that away from him.

Barry Bonds is the all time HR king of baseball until someone beats him, that's it and that's all.

Regarded as a sports icon for winning the Tour de France seven consecutive times from 1999 to 2005, he was later stripped of all his titles when an investigation revealed that he was the key figure in a wide-ranging doping conspiracy called the Lance Armstrong doping case.

No but not viewed by many as great. Some will look at the feat as great no doubt but for many they won't.

The phrase "later stripped" is the problem. Slippery slope. If he was disqualified to play in the first place or found guilty at the time-of, that's one thing. If evidence comes out later? It's too late. He already won 7 championships. He's a 7-time champion; that's it, and that's all.

There's no "take backs" in sports. Slippery slope. If you're going to do that you might as well strip the Patriots of their first 4 championships (at least the 2014 one) and the L.A. Lakers of the 2002 and 2020 championships because one was a Tim Donaghy Italian mob rig job and the other was in a covid bubble with no fans and modified rules.

There is take backs in sports. They literally took it back. As with Reggie Bush’s heisman. Whether or not you acknowledge it doesn’t mean it didn’t happen.

Lance Armstrong has 0 Tour de France wins today because of cheating that was found out after he fraudulently won 7. That’s the “black and white” of it.

nope, there are no take backs in sports, what happens post mortem doesn't take back the fact. The only thing is that official is what happens at the time of the accomplishment. Lance Armstrong is a 7-time Champion and that's the black and white of it. Also, the black and white of it is that I'm right and you're wrong, so by executive order I am ordering you shut your snout and take your garbage rhetoric where the sun don't shine.

beat both super bowl teams from last year.
And neither team is playing at a Super Bowl level right now. The Rams offense is bad right now, so enjoy the win but don't over inflate these teams they've beaten.

We just beat both Super Bowl teams with a backup QB.

This is a ridiculous roster. It's like football's version of the Harlem Globetrotters.

Just because you don’t want it to be doesn’t means it isn’t, as per proof. They literally took it back.

The Donaughy thing does not prohibit the NBA from stripping a future champion if the violations are egregious enough and the public outcry impacts their credibility. They won’t say, “Well, no backsies!”

This reminds me of Southern Methodist. They did the crime, and in the court of public opinion they’re still doing the time.

The 2002 Lakers aren't NBA Champions, neither are the 2014 Patriots.

If you can do it for individual sports, you do it for all sports.

That's it and that's all.

It’s up to the championship-givers to decide. If the NBA has decided the Lakers keep their champion, that’s official. If the NCAA decides to revoke the Trojans 2004 natty, that’s official.

One cannot say one is absolute and the other isn’t, when the entire organization the championship represents says otherwise. They choose what is absolute.
