If we win a Super Bowl doing it this way, then I'll gladly take my licking for believing that we should make better use of free agency. It’s up to the championship-givers to decide. If the NBA has decided the Lakers keep their champion, that’s official. If the NCAA decides to revoke the Trojans 2004 natty, that’s official.

One cannot say one is absolute and the other isn’t, when the entire organization the championship represents says otherwise. They choose what is absolute.
