Nice win, but......
That team was nothing like last year's Super Bowl Champs.....almost the whole line is gone, their top pass rusher is gone, and 2 of their top 3 WRs are gone.

But still....nice win
yeah stafford probably feels like he is back in detroit now.

Yeah I too thought that genius would adjust. Apparently not so much.
he gave up on what little run game he had, which left him at mercy of the dallas DL
McVay seemed kinda dumb in this game.

What irks me is people will make excuses for other teams QB, OL hurt? Not an excuse that is what we are constantly told around here. OC needs to make adjustment or a good QB would overcome. Fact is when you are getting manhandles as Rams did there are no adjustments when your OL is being beaten as badly as they were. Pretty much everything the rams threw at us we were on top of it.

We are missing three OL, two of our top four recievers are gone and we are running out a backup QB. Think that evens it out.

You're right about the backup QB

But the Rams oline issues are worse than we have seen in Dallas since maybe 2012 or so
They have 3 O-linemen that might not even make our roster. And the 4th is out, with a backup in.

It's not the same. Our line is above average right now, and even good relative to most out there.....their's is near the very bottom.
That is directly where their issues begin.
If you can't run or drop back to pass without getting mauled, your offense doesn't have a chance.

Good win for us either way

I think coaches are often as dumb as their personnel makes them look. The year's they've made us look bad, I thought their offensive game plan was brilliant. I think he was just a coach without any good answers in this one.

And some people in here are looking for style points. “Tyler Smith looked bad” “Rush only had 100 yards” . Do you people even watch the games?
We are 4-1 with a backup qb, our pro bowl LT out.
Enjoy the frikkin win.

Winning is great. Doesnt change the fact that some people played well and some didnt.

Rams are a shell of themselves. Not the team that won the SB. Ironically the ONE big difference in the team? The Oline went in the toilet with injuries. Same thing that happened to Cowboys about midway through the season last year. Oline matters.

The win put our team in position to play for 1st place in the division next Sunday night + being up front for the still long race for the best conference record.

Right.

The Rams were the team to be like, everyone insisted.

Now that we've beaten the Rams, the same people who wanted us to be like the Rams aren't happy.

Strange world we live in.

It's just troll accounts. I think most fans of this team that have watched every game for the past 25 years realize that this team is the team we always would dream about. I remember when Romo was ballin out and me and fellow Cowboys friends would watch a 49ers or Seahawk game and be so jealous of how they where winning. We always knew Romo would have to bail us out or we would lose. We finally have a team like those successful Steelers, Ravens, 49ers type teams and now all the troll accounts have is it's not a 50 point a game offense. However, I really think most of them realize that this team with this defense might make all of their lives miserable come February. There trolling days might be numbered and that is a big threat.

Exactly.

Hard to say we aren't playing good teams. The Midgets are 4-1 (I don't think they are that good, but that's their record), and we beat both teams in last year's Super Bowl.

And neither team is playing at a Super Bowl level right now. The Rams offense is bad right now, so enjoy the win but don't over inflate these teams they've beaten.
our defense is why the rams looked so bad on offense yesterday.
don't under-estimate the performance of your team.
we have beaten 3 good teams with a back-up QB.
that doesn't just happen...you know...because.
we're a good team.
hopefully it continues into nov and dec.

We just beat both Super Bowl teams with a backup QB.

This is a ridiculous roster. It's like football's version of the Harlem Globetrotters.

Too bad we don't get to play the Washington Generals (in this case, Commodores) every week.

Good points! We may be able to get back up to 30 pts when Dak comes back (in theory), I like this team because these are teams wins, defense, special teams, running game and not many mistakes, those are all championship markers.

Amen brotha. I think Dak can be a nice spark as well. I just hope he see's what this team is and keeps the ball on the ground often. I like the Cooper Rush on steroids comment someone made about how Dak needs to play. It's a good analogy. Basically run the ball a lot and then have Dak make plays when needed. It's a fun team to watch!

It's hard to adjust when the other team is dominating the line of scrimmage. I guess he could have gone full-on max protect.

I meant with the type of plays. Similar to what they did against us in 2020. All quick plays runs and passes to the outside, eliminating any pass rush. Maybe they tried that. I don't know, I was at a wedding.

The runs weren't working for them, and the pass rush was so intense that they couldn't get much done with the pass. I am surprised that they didn't try some bubble screens and such. Because our pass rush was so quick, though, we may have been sitting on those a little more. I'd have to go back and look. It's just hard to have much offensive success when the defense is destroying your line.

Our guys all had the lion mentality in this game, licking their chops and eager to pounce. The Rams may have had the worst OL we've faced so far.
