On November 1, 2018, Davis was signed to the Dallas Cowboys practice squad.[10]

Davis was waived by the Falcons on Saturday, Will McFadden of the team's official site reports.

After spending 2017 on Atlanta's practice squad, Davis failed to progress to the active roster in his second year out of Georgia. Davis' otherworldly speed could make him an asset on special teams elsewhere, but he struggled mightily as a receiver during the preseason, hauling in just three of 11 targets and dropping multiple passes in the Falcons' final exhibition game against Miami on Thursday.

Why is this lazy? They will go into training camp with 90 players, so they have to have training camp bodies. Obviously not everyone is going to truly compete for a roster spot. Plus, it's not as if they are making a commitment to the guy and will be stuck with him long term or get saddled with salary cap issues. They could cut him tomorrow with no affect at all.
