Poked in the eyeball
Any updates on how he's doing? Did he come back into the game? Getting poked in the eye is no joke. I don't understand why all trench players don't play with a plastic shield in their facemasks, kind of like what Micah and Pollard use. A finger in the eyeball is pretty scary.

No one on the OL was getting obviously beat, so that's the best sign you can hope for. However, I am not sure the Giants are a good gauge of anything at this point. They were terrible everywhere. I don't see how they win even 3-4 games looking like that this season
Maybe.... (and stick with me here)... Maybe the team you supposedly root for is that good??? Just throwing that out there. :D

Tyron Smith essentially eliminating Thibadeaux all game was encouraging. Just need to keep him healthy . I’ll gladly accept 13 games of healthy Tyron this season.

Also, without rewatching the game, seems like the interior OL did a good job keeping Lawrence/Williams under control.

A lot of the complaints about the O line last year were from:
- People who didn't want to acknowledge that Zeke was too slow getting to the line
- People who didn't want to acknowledge that the passing game caused Dak to hold the ball too long

MM and Schott have been talking "fast" all offseason. Well imagine that. If linemen don't have to hold their blocks for a half hour they don't look too bad.

Edoga is a solid LG and from what we saw of Richards at LT and Bass at RG I would say I’m pretty comfortable with those guys as depth for those spots.

With Tyler as a guy who can be a G/T I think we have some good depth. Other than C (Hoffman looked poor in PS) I’m good with what we have.

This is assuming Richards can man RT if Steele goes down, but there would be options in that case regardless.

Our biggest weakness may be much more solidified than we thought.
The only people who complain about the OL are the Dak fanatics, looking for an excuse when he plays bad

Been saying all PS....Richards and Bass are dawgs...Edoga did surprise me and even Tyron playing most of the game really surprised me in a good way. Tyler will be back. The weakness is backup center. I still see Biadasz needing to be upgraded, but maybe i am being picky. Playing for his future contract.

The replay crew showed Tyron Smith pulling wide on a couple of running plays... good to see the big guy moving so well.

That was a really good front 7 they played last night. I don't think Thibodeaux even made the stat sheet. Thank God they gave Martin more money. He was an absolute beast last night.

He came back in and finished the game until they pulled starters.

Over and over myself and some others have been saying that Edoga is as good of a depth piece at G as you could get this year. He looked solid.

I still think an injury to Tyron - who looked excellent - would slow them down quite a bit, but the depth isn't much worse than any other team around the league.

This is what made green bays offensive line great for all those years
