I think that is everybody, so I count 7 WRs right now. I don't think we carry 7 on the 53, so maybe we move another WR for some more dline or safety help?

And Cedrick Wilson

Oh yea, I forgot about him.

So that makes 8 wrs.............that is too many, so we either have to trade or release one or two I am thinking.

Of course with training camp and preseason this might work itself out, you never know who is going to get injured. Either on our team or with another team that then becomes desperate for WR help and you can work a trade.

If they decide Austin is a Dunbar type, then you can basically remove his name from the WR list and put it more in the RB list. Then you're down to six guys. Six is doable for the roster, especially if you're using more of a committee approach. But, realistically, are all 6 going to be healthy come September?

We're one high ankle sprain or something like that away from the log-jam taking care of itself and somebody starting the year on the PUP.

I'm assuming Wilson goes to the practice squad (unless some undrafted type comes from nowhere to leapfrog him).

I think twill gets cut and Wilson and brown goes on the PS.

Only thing with Twill is that his salary for this year is 100% guaranteed............we don't save a penny by cutting him

On the other hand, the team might just eat his salary and cut him for performance reasons.

I don't know, will be interesting to see how all of this plays out.

Really good point about the injury situation bro..........somebody is probably getting hurt in training camp/preseason.

I also feel this board overrates Brown massively,he will get cut unless he shows a lot of improvement.

If anything, I could see us catching a bad break and needing to add a WR (and cherry-pick after the roster cutdowns). How does Terrence Williams' injury rehab come along? Suppose he has a setback and needs more time, so we seize on the chance to stash him on the PUP the first time he has a ginger ankle or a cramp. And then one other guy gets a minor injury and needs to open the year on the PUP.

I could see us still looking for a Laurent Robinson type of situation by the end of training camp. (Unless Tavon Austin gets in here and blows the doors off the coaching staff to the point where they decide the best way to use him is make him a full-time WR and really make that work.)

Beasley
Austin - I think just 1mil to cut - Whitehead/Dunbar back? Returner
Williams - Broken foot - money guaranteed - but how fast does he *really* come back from a broken foot?

Thompson - 1mil to cut
Brown - PS?
Wilson- PS
KD Cannon - PS
Lance Lenoir - PS

Looking at how disposable those guys are, I can easily see us bringing in *another* WR. Why not?

There will be competition. There will be injuries. I'm only confident the top 4 are here, despite so many so desperate to dump Beasley.

Before today, I thought Rod Smith was a lock to make the team.

Tavon Austin and Bo Scarborough may be the end of Rod's run here.
