The Skins game should be an easy W, they have already quit for the year. Guys were literally jogging around the field today while the Cheifs almost put a 50 burger on them at FedEx. The stadium was 90% empty, it was like a freaking ghost town. If we cant beat them, we deserve to lose the division.

So that means we have to beat either the Bears or Packers to get an elimination game with the Eagles. If we cant beat either of those teams, we are a joke of a franchise. The vaunted Bears are coming off back to back loses to the powerhouse Rams and juggarnaunt Vikes. The Bears are playing with their backup QB and suck just as bad as we do on defense. In fact, they are dead last against the run.

No excuse to lose to both the Bears and the Packers and the Skins have already quit...................if we are eliminated before week 17 the entire coaching staff needs to be fired.

Love what you're saying but we want no part of the Saints.

They are the worst matchup for us in the entire league.

with this defense there are no good matchups. Any good offense should do what it wants to us.

I think it's more about the QB we face.

These elite QB's will eat zone coverage up.

IF we stay away from Manning, Brady, Rivers, Rodgers, and Breese we will be fine.

That is exactly what happened to Carolina last night. They have been getting away with playing Zone all year, they play New Orleans and it's just toooo easy for a QB like Breese.

If you looks at it a little different you can see we can end Chicago and Green Bay's season in a six day span.

We ended the giants season three weeks ago.

Then we could end the eagles season.

Then hey who knows we might get the dream scenario of a chance at revenge vs the saints at home in the wild card round. I think the panthers win division and NFC. Would love to get another shot at the saints just for the motivation this team would have.

This is the way I see it. I

I normally do not believe in must-win scenarios but if Dallas is going to make a statement about who they are this year and where they want to go, they must beat Chicago and Green Bay. Both these games are must-wins only because Dallas needs to establish an identity.

We must enter each remaining game in must- win mode. Cowboys got zero help today. SF will run table and Carolina will lose only 1 game tops the rest of the way. Division champs or bust. And I'm not sure that's not a good thing. If we can run the table, we will be sky high for the playoffs and a legitimate threat to any opponent. I almost want the last game for all the marbles.

I agree that all games right now are important and teams need to take on that mentality if they are to make it to post season and have any success in post season.

Even if Dallas loses tonight, they control their own destiny, even if Philly wins the next two. But I get what you're saying.

Dallas has been playing a lot more man coverage after the NO games. We have not been sitting in a lot of zones as of late.

We've been forced to move away from it but you can tell it is what Monte is most comfortable calling and he has still used these schemes and it has cost us nearly every time.

Monte Kiffen was just a terrible hire. I think he's good at what he does but his schemes are just outdated.

I know you're all about blaming execution but im sorry you just can't get away with these schemes unless you're playing average QB's.

Again I disagree. He will use the players he has and adjust to it. Having the injuries along the DL also is part of making the move to more man coverage with the lack of pass rush not to mention CB are better suited to play man. Since NO game Dallas has mainly played man so get off the zone BS we are not playing much zone. And yes players execution matters a hell of a lot, that is why they are fricken paid the big bucks more than coaches because it is their execution or lack of that matters.

The New Orleans game was 2 games ago and we saw some zone against the Giants.

Execution does matter but if you watch a Broncos game and see how their schemes get guys open by design you just can't help but shake your head at what the Cowboys are doing.

We're completely relying on our guy to beat their guy and the scheme will rarely ever get a player open unlike a team like Denver that is using the rules to their advantage.

Yes we saw some zone most teams will mix zone in as well but predominantly Dallas played man even talked about locking up Scandrick on Crews who was shut down.

Yeah but Cruz did have a big catch in that game right in the middle of zone coverage.

We ran zone in NOLA because Ware was hobbled and Hatcher and Lee and Claiborne (our third press CB) were all out. The *only* other option was to try to let BW Webb and Ernie Sims play in man coverage against Drew Brees who would have had all day to throw. That would have been an unmitigated disaster. That was not the game plan, it was the adjustment we *had* to make in that game. There literally was no other acceptable option.

Re: the Giants, every team plays *some* zone in some situations, so that's not really saying anything. We're a better press team when we've got our personnel all on the field. The DC knows it, and there's very little chance that that's not what we see from this point forward unless Hatcher and/or Ware goes out or we sustain multiple injuries to the CB group.

and there are many situation where our guys are there to make the plays and flat out fail to do so. Sorry seeing a fan act as if he knows how to coach is a joke. Garrett knows this game and understand this game more so than some couch sitting coach. It is easy for any fan and most do it to complain about something they don't even understand. Like you going on about zone coverage when fact is over the last 2 Dallas has not hardly ran any zone, some yes most team will mix things up and not give a QB 1 look all the time. Garrett wants balance but for that to happen you must have consistent play from the guys up front, they must run block and pass protect and Romo has the oppertunity to change us out of a play.

Cruz had 2 catches for 27 yards on the game, he is a top Pro WR sorry but if you hold a guy to 2 catches for 27 yards and his longest was 22 yards, I don't see where there is much to complain about.

I believe New Orleans set some records against us. We should've tried our chances in man.

Not complaining. Just stating that he made a big play against Zone in that game.

a 22 yard catch be it man or zone really makes no differance. We took a top WR and shut him down. Yes Dallas will play zone they will give a man look and drop into a zone teams will do this to try to get the QB unsure but by and large we have been playing man
