What happened in New Orleans was a unmitigated disaster.

I believe New Orleans set some records against us. We should've tried our chances in man.

That would have been ridiculous, and then you'd be complaining about that. You don't do something stupider just because all your options are bad ones. We had to stick to zone coverage there to avoid the one-play scoring drives and hope the offense could keep us in the game. Had to. It wasn't even a decision, really.

Those records they set were for first downs. Because we were in zone, btw.

I'll say it again. It's important to string together multiple wins and not just win one or two, then drop a game. Winning 4 and 5 games in a row shows that you have the potential to do that in the playoffs, and that's what it takes to get to the Super Bowl. So to me, we're on a little bit of a roll right now, let's keep winning. This will take attention to detail on ever snap. Our offense needs to start coming out faster than it usually does. In order for us to put teams away, our offense HAS to coming out swinging early to put pressure on their offense to keep up.

I think Dallas has already been in that mode for sveral games.
Zero difference in their minds--as far as preparation or how they feel while the game is going on-- between that pivital road game vs the Giants a couple of weeks ago and a week 17 matchup. Hopefully, the results will be the same.

They should be in must-win mode for EVERY game. They only have 16 games to play. This isn't basketball or hockey where they play 82 games or baseball where they play 162 games.

They have 16 games to make the playoffs. Losses are much more costly than other sports. That's why throwing away games like the Lions game is so frustrating. You can't afford to give away games because you only play 16 of them.

So yes, they need to be in must-win mode. But they should ALWAYS be in must win mode.

a 22 yard catch be it man or zone really makes no differance. We took a top WR and shut him down. Yes Dallas will play zone they will give a man look and drop into a zone teams will do this to try to get the QB unsure but by and large we have been playing man
