We need a younger QB next year

Did you even watch the game? The defense playing so badly, combined with Dak playing so well, is why the game was close and why we won a shoot out. If the defense had played as well as Dak, then Dallas would have won likely 50-0 or more.
I guess you didn't like our field goal kicker either? I think our field goal kicker is easily the best in the league, and maybe the best ever. I have necer seen anyone make 64-66 yard field goals look routine before. Dak is obviously the reason we won a game, the defense played horribly until showing up in overtime. As good as the 3 recent 12 win teams were, they would have lost a game like this where the defense did not show up. But Dak was not going to let that happen. The team only slipped from the recent stretch of winning 12 three years in a row, because Dak got hurt. The last time he was healthy he was the odds on favorite to win the MVP, with LJ having a brilliant late game against the 49er's and eking out the MVP from Dak. And the Dak we are seeing now, the same guy who was MVP worthy the last time he was healthy, is better now. He has a fire and a "not going to be denied determination" in his demeanor that I have not seen before. That determination added to the MVP skill level, is why he is the PFF second ranked quarterback in the league after two games.
Aubrey is the reason the Cowboys won the game.

That would mean he gets a third extension. The only way that is justified is he gets to at least one conference title game. If he gets that third extension with the same number of playoff wins he has now, then they simply are lazy and don’t care.
Who are you to say what's justified and what's not??

I doubt he's gonna stay here for a 3rd contract or it'll be like 4th one whatever it is..

he'll end up on another team like some of these other quarterbacks if he wants to play more like TB, Farve and others..

But if he does stay here that's up to the owner, you're not the owner of this team, you're not the GM of this team ,you don't run the team, and you have no say in how this is ran.

This Self entitled fan base that think because they know fantasy football ,they play Madden ,and they sit and discuss football with a bunch of casuals like us ,You know fans are not experts, that somehow you think that you're entitled to have a say in what goes on with the team..

if you don't like the way they run the team or who the players are on the team it's just easier to switch teams you don't have to follow Jerry's team..

No, I'm not a fan of Jerry I don't listen to him I don't watch the videos, I really don't care about him, but I care about the Dallas Cowboys and right now Prescott is the best option at quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys Moving forward at least another season maybe two..

to think about the salary cap and is it worth cutting the guy and eating the money...

BUT,

Look around the league and look at how bad some of these quarterbacks are how hard it is to draft a new one there's a reason he's here right now and seemingly what people say he's overpaid but when you look at how hard it is to find a starting quarterback in this league a good one and he's a very good one he's top 10 no argument if you say he's outside the top ten but he's playing this year just like in 2023 just like in 2016 and just like in 2021 like a top five quarterback So he's still playing at a high level enough to where you can understand why jerry kept him....

Why do we have to have these discussions about the future quarterback let's just stay in the now and worry about this season that's my point too many open discussions about Prescott right now i'm not going to point them out but this is one thread and there's another Let's enjoy the fact that he's actually playing really well compared to starting last year off with a horrible team He's back into form and that's important..

Brady was 24 when he won his first SB.
Isn’t Dak 32?
In the modern Super Bowl Era (post 2000) if a QB does not get to a Super Bowl within
his first 5 years in the league, chances are he's never going to a Super Bowl.

We have a lot of DDS fans. Our D just gave up 500 yards and 37 points to a team that will finish in the bottom 5 of the league.

But we need to fix the QB. It is unbelievable how low the Football Intelligence of our fan base is.

Dak did ok I guess

But it’s pretty clear to me we need a younger more mobile QB next year

Dak is to slow on even play action passes, he’s just getting old
Dak is playing really well at the moment but we need to be looking at a replacement to come in from next season, maybe use the 1st draft picks to draft up for someone. He could then be Dak's understudy and mentored without the extra pressure of having to start games.

All of a sudden no one like backflip bazooka Joe?

There's already plenty of examples to that not being true peyton Manning I believe it was Year 9 I believe Matthew Stafford had to leave the Lions in Year 13 and got his and maybe we're talking about original drafted to your original team there might be more to that but there are examples of this just being another narrative that can be twist it into whatever you want it to be just because you think that that's the norm it's not because the norm has been broken we have examples of it being broken...

This has nothing to do with age this happens to be more about the team you land on there's been some really good quarterbacks that have their careers ruined because of the teams they went on Baker Mayfield Sam Darnold and Geno Smith are just a few examples of that was supposed to be trash Now we're looking at Daniel Jones at least for two games not looking like the same Daniel Jones that was on a terrible Giants team sometimes your situation creates the problems and not the actual player or the talent and it's definitely not the age and definitely don't have to be mobile either 'cause that's been busted as well...

Does a team game it will always be about the team and right if the teams not good enough then there are going to be a lot of good players having bad careers like Barry Sanders and Megatron over with the Lions it doesn't have to be a quarterback this is happens to be the team you play on you may never get a Super Bowl because fate put you in a bad situation.

I am not sure I can come up with 4 quarterbacks playing better than Dak. He is better than PM, as good as JA, just off of LJ. I think tied for second best is where I put him. I think this team is going to coalesce over the year and go win a superbowl.
What you smoking? I want some

We do not have a SB team, and no matter what delusional fans think, a QB can not carry an entire team.

If that is the case most QB's would never get a second contract.

2 out of 24

not liking the odds...
There's far more that was just a couple of examples... I don't need more long as there's one that's all I need I don't care if you don't like the odds if it's already been done it can be done again..

Snake oil Jerry loves this post....
Hilarious you know John Elway didn't win a Super Bowl till his last two years I realized he got there he's a great quarterback but if this is about winning Super Bowls not getting there guys get there like Colin Kaepernick Jimmy Garoppolo just to name a few that shouldn't even be named that just proves it's a team game and John Elway needed the help of Terrell Davis he finally got a running game to help compliment the pass game in his final two years in the NFL you need me to keep adding you want me to do my research for you?

Don Elway had a great team and it still took to his last two years for him to win a Super Bowl he won back to back Super Bowls because they improved the team finally..

There you go maybe Prescott in his last two years maybe we win a Super Bowl maybe we don't but who cares your narrative is not better than mine you're a hater and I'm just using examples you don't like because they're facts

You’re just a hater. Dak will be the first. His ability to read defenses, the speed his brain processes going through his progressions and accuracy is unmatched in the nfl. First ballot HOFer.

Say whatever you want, you are not getting a position in the Cowboys front office...
