I don't think the deep ball will be the problem against Shy Town. I think our ability to make house hold names out of no name running backs is the problem for us. I know that Benson is not a no name, but he hasn't run very well this year.

Thank God Trent Green can't hit wide open WR's.

Did you watch the game?

He hit too many WIDE OPEN(Mother Flowerin') WR's.... I almost blew a gasket

Did you watch the game? Green was off the entire game. As bad as it was, it could have been much, much worse. Green had at least 6 or 7 overthrows, including over throwing a wide open Chambers on a crossing route that might have gone for a TD if he hits him in stride, but instead fell right into Hamlin's lap. If Miami had a QB who could manage to not over throw wide open WR's by 10 feet, this would have been just like last week.

The pass defense has one more week to get it together, because after Grossman we're going to start facing Brady, Bulger, McNabb and Kitna and those Lion WR's and we're in for a world of trouble. And I'm tired of the Terrence Newman excuse ... Parcells' defense depended on two good pass rushers in the OLB spots, and we we didn't give him the Greg Ellis injury excuse. We should expect better than his, and Newman has absolutely nothing to do with our front 7 not being able to beat the man in front of them. Really, does anyone in our front 7 look any better in Wade's scheme than they did last year under Parcells, other than Bradie James? San Diego didn't have a good secondary, and it didn't seem to bother Merrriman, Castillo and Shaun Phillips much.
