On the shovel pass, Dez was 1 on 1, the safety was run blitzing.
Dez beat a triple-team in that same quarter, and on the other side, Robinson had 1 on 1 against the corner and smoked him towards the end zone, Romo didn't pull the trigger, instead, he pulled the ball down and started scrambling before the pressure had even gotten there.
I think this is a direct result of the Lions debacle. I think he's a little gun shy right now, but he needs to get past that game and start slinging the ball without worrying if it's going to get intercepted. If EVER, I see 1 on 1 coverage on Dez or Austin, I'm throwing it, no questions asked.
On the flip side, Dez needs to get his butt in motion with the route running. He has good stats for his first 16 games, but if he were to dive in to the learning of detailed routes, and the play-book, he would be absolutely unstoppable, of course unless they triple team him, in which case Garrett needs to start sending him on drag routes across the field.
And I will also include Austin in the conversation, who needs to concentrate more on catching the ball, vs, what he'll do afterwards.
So there, all of them got criticism, not just 1 person.
