This game had Buffalo running the ball down our throats and even when it started happening, Quinn did nothing to stop the bleeding. No loading the box, no more dline, nothing. This guy knows one thing and one thing only and because of that we aint winning any super bowl. Miami will slaughter us with this game plan and so will any other team,,,,run Forrest run…Quinn is a one dimensional coordinator.

No, Miami is exactly the type of Offense that our Defense matches up well with. They do a lot of fancy motion/misdirection, but ultimately their offense runs east and west and takes occasional shots downfield.

We have problems with teams that play smashmouth/power run offenses. Niners, Bills, Ravens are bullies that we don't match up well with. Surprised Seattle didn't try to run more on us.

We also have a problem playing on the road. That used to be a unique strength of our team (fans nationwide), but that's gone. Either our team is just not prepared enough, our fans aren't showing up or teams are really turning us into their regular season Super Bowl. Probably combination of all three.

Anyone looking at what happened to Dallas will do what works and that is run Forrest run….we are toast.

Hankins and Hooker being out had nothing to do with it. Let us instead scapegoat Quinn because 'scheme' which really is nothing but complaints about the performance or more specifically how he did nothing about it.

Even got a 90's movie reference. As these things go I think it was pretty good. I give it 3/10.

Quinn's scheme is fine if the opposing offense is bent on throwing the ball 80-85 percent of the time with only a token run game. But if they are going to run right at your undersized players, good luck.

... The appearance difference that I saw from both defenses last night.
Buffalo was hugging the box. There was at least six defenders around the defensive line with a few linebackers always blitzen.
With our defense it was just the four and the linebackers and safeties off the line.
He didn't make adjustments early on by the first quarter obviously number four Cooks was already running left and right.

I don't know how anybody can defend DQ's showing yesterday. Look at some of these formations, particularly the second level

1. Two "Linebackers", one over top of the left tackle, and other (Bell) over top the right tacke. So it's 5 offensive linement vs. 4 down lineman. Bell blitzes off tackle taking himself out the play, their extra lineman gets to the second level where all we have left is "Damona" Clark. Cook breaks off a 13 yard run on 1st down.

2. Here's another one. We've got 5 guys on the LOS vs. 6 blockers and only Bell in the middle of the field at the second level. Their extra man gets to the second level and erases 205 lb Markquese Bell. Guess where Cook went? Right down the middle for 19 yards on 1st down. You cannot continue to call defense like this leaving the middle of the field completely exposed.

I agree with this mostly. Some of the penalties we saw yesterday and really since SF game have been penalties of aggression.

I think they ARE trying to be that physical team, but for a myriad of reasons it's not playing out that way.

His Defense works if you have a big lead in the game and force teams to pass. It won't work against the ball control/ physical defense style teams SF/ Bal/ Buf etc.....we're built to be mediocre .....

You are spot on. We needed to do what they did and Quinn just too stupid to figure it out. But I do think our Dline is crap and drafting a bust like Mazi Smith made it worse. We ain’t fixing this thing until we get linebackers and a dline. We were blown out of the water on run plays. Just destroyed.

This front is just small from what he has traditionally deployed in the past with Seattle and Atlanta. He used to deploy a heavy base end (Red Bryant, Tyson Jackson), and the front was more of a 3-4 disguised as a 4-3. Osa also happens to be an undersized 3T, compared to the rest of the league.

This FO has de-valued size and physicality in favor of athelticism since Parcells walked out the door. It's why we are never serious contenders and can't win playoff games, a pass rush is irrelevant if your opponent can run it down your throat and control the tempo of the game.

Martin, Lawrence were complete idiots. And McCarthy is to blame. No one is accountable on this team. Most penalized team in the NFL.

As was being said, this defense needs to play with a lead. I know it's hindsight, but it was a mistake to give the ball first to Allen.

Martin was sticking up for Dak, didn't push him just bumped into him. Not even worthy of flag.

Lawrence was so tick tack I thought we were making Taffy.

I'm sure you were okay though with helmet to helmet on Daks slide, right?

It does not matter we are undisciplined, no leadership, no accountability, and the emperor has no clothes. We have no toughness, no middle, no defensive line, and we’re pushed all over the field. This team is one and done in the playoffs no matter where they play. Say hello to bill belichick! Fat boy should be packing when he gets back from McDonalds.

Dallas is great at being front runners. If they go behind early, especially to good teams, might as well start nailing their coffins shut
Isn’t that typically every team? Nobody wants to go down early against a good team especially if you can’t stop the run

I was wondering did we win the toss. This team for sure needs to score first. Guys yesterday tried to tell me you always defer. How can anyone watch yesterday and say that?

He's thinking outside the box and doing what he can with the pieces available IMO, though I have no idea who he's stumping for on draft day or in free agency and sometimes thinking outside of the box just doesn't work out,,, it's an experiment.
