This game had Buffalo running the ball down our throats and even when it started happening, Quinn did nothing to stop the bleeding. No loading the box, no more dline, nothing. This guy knows one thing and one thing only and because of that we aint winning any super bowl. Miami will slaughter us with this game plan and so will any other team,,,,run Forrest run…Quinn is a one dimensional coordinator.
Quinn seems to refuse to make the changes necessary to address the run defense.

Dallas plays with so few men in the box at times that it is literally 4 down linemen, a box safety, and a single LB (in our case a safety playing LB) being expected to beat 6 or 7 blockers. It just is not a good plan of attack when a team decides to just run at you.

Why Dallas didn't decide to just sell out stopping the run and live with Josh Allen beating you after the first few drives is kind of perplexing to me.

The personnel is also pretty confusing at times. Dallas plays without any real LBers on the field way too often. We have way too many hybrid S/LB types on this roster.

It is an unmitigated disaster. If they are beating and pounding with the run, you load the freakin box just like Buffalo did. Is Quinn a moron?

It's simple. The defense was built to play with a lead and they were down Hankins and LVE and they didn't show up to play.

DQ does need called out because they didn't make any adjustments or improvement as the game went along. The Bills ran to the gaps all day.

Bell is a safety and that's where he needs to play.

The Bills were daring the Cowboys to stop the run and they never did. Quinn was in pass rush mode the whole game and they weren't even throwing the ball. No adjustments, nothing. I am kind of hoping that Quinn takes a HC somewhere. He's overrated.

Precisely.

Dallas probably plays with the lightest front 7 in the league (we don't even really have a true front 7. Basically 3 D-linemen, a LB playing DE, and 2 safeties playing LB). It really is not a good formula for success against the run strictly from a personnel grouping standpoint.

DQ's obsession with playing so many LB/Safety hybrids is becoming a huge problem now that teams have figured out how to attack it.

Very disappointed in Quinns stupidity, even knowing we don’t have Hankins and we were getting blown off the ball. This is just dumber than dumb and even understaffed defenses can alter the scheme to compensate and Quinn did nothing. Nada. Zippo.

We have no linebackers, no defensive line, and we draft the bust Mazi and a still unknown tight end when the ship is listing and we are arranging the deck chairs.

well, he went smaller, banking on his speed to close the gaps. it didn't work, because they missed a lot of assignments. they were undisciplined. and they couldn't tackle when they got there.

You are spot on. We needed to do what they did and Quinn just too stupid to figure it out. But I do think our Dline is crap and drafting a bust like Mazi Smith made it worse. We ain’t fixing this thing until we get linebackers and a dline. We were blown out of the water on run plays. Just destroyed.
Most of yards were on the edges
Biiggest issue was DE and LB

you cannot win the super bowl with all of these draft busts….Mazi…..come on people…..another of a litany of horrible decisions and not to go for stud pass defending linebacker, stud defensive 1 tech, and the like…look at san fran….except for dumping their qb on us, they hit it big otherwise. If LVE comes back next year we are doomed. This guy is done. But Dallas will bring him back.

No, Miami is exactly the type of Offense that our Defense matches up well with. They do a lot of fancy motion/misdirection, but ultimately their offense runs east and west and takes occasional shots downfield.

We have problems with teams that play smashmouth/power run offenses. Niners, Bills, Ravens are bullies that we don't match up well with. Surprised Seattle didn't try to run more on us.
BUF ran three plays yesterday. Run right. Run left. Run middle. All three were unstoppable by DAL.

Miami - an even better rushing team - will do the same thing, after witnessing yesterday's carnage.

Neither Quinn nor McCarthy made any adjustments to counterpunch the Bills gameplan. It was an embarrassing display that will be hard to overcome.

Penalties, Penalties, Penalties. Run defense got abused of course but without penalties and we get that fumble they score 3 points in the first half probably and the game is different. They would not be running the ball down our throats in the 2nd half if we would have taken care of business in the first half!

To stop the edge runs, your DEs have to set the edge. From what I saw, they were undisciplined and in a hurry to get to the QB, instead of playing the run. This is bad situational awareness by the players and the coaches.

It wasnt the scheme, it’s the players. Bills were doing pull runs where the LB’ers and safties to make plays. Unfortunately they’re too small. Bells 205 lbs. Juanye Thomas is 217. They don’t have the beef to stop the run. Hopefully Hankins will be back soon which will help. They got some big LB’ers on the practice squad. May be time to start playing one of them.

That's what kills Dallas more then anything. Usually in BIG games- the opponent has the edge at coaching. Head coach on down

I have loved Quinn, but he is definetly trending negatively in my opinion.
