We need to find a way to use Harris more

*Dwayne Harris tells **click-bait** that he'd like to do for this offense what Percy Harvin is doing in Seattle. That's a lofty goal, but as he caught one pass, got open for what could've been a TD catch and had rushing attempt, he showed big play-making ability. On the rush, he lined up in the backfield and gained nine yards, showing off his quickness and footwork. On his lone catch, he jumped up above a defender to haul in a 56-yard pass on 3rd down, setting up Murray touchdown.

Now, get the fielding of kicks all cleared up ...

THE FINAL WORD: A Cowboys staffer approached us today and said, "You have a tough job. You're going to be asked to predict an entire season's outcome based on one bad half.''

A bad half but some good news: there are still 15 games left to be played. Just like the players, fans should develop a short memory. Time to move on and look forward to the next opponent ... the Titans in Tennessee, where we assume some Cowboys fans will own seats ...

And we promise we won't make too big of a deal out of that, either.

almost want to say forget trying to use lance dunbar as a utility guy lets use harris who has good vision running the ball and hands. He knows what to do in the open space.

Also why not cut the FB lol we used the FB for all of one snap lol.

Harris needs to rewatch his plays and realize he needs to master his current role before expanding into anything else. But the potential is there.

I will never understand our approach to Harris. The guy has proven he's a play maker over and over, but we keep trying to put guys in front of him on the depth chart.

Good point......I don't think the coaches are creative enough to figure out how to use or maximize a players potential......love what Seattle is doing with Percy H.....shows energy, shows creativeness...freshness....keeps defenses guessing......have you or anyone ever thought the Cowboys were creative at using its players...or play design....Garrett is coaching from behind...not being a leader in play design or a leader in team building....just a HC in OJT mode....for heaven sake they can't figure out HOW TO or WHEN TO run the freaking ball.... alone get creative......Garrett sucks....but what is new in Cowboy land....same ol BS

I've stated on this site numerous times about how Harris constantly makes plays. It doesn't matter what we ask from him. On kick offs or punts he's the first guy there to make a tackle.......everytime a ball is thrown his way he catches it for a big gain.......every punt return and kick return......it says a lot about the guy that whenever you call his number to contribute he does it and he's always making plays. I guess they get stuck on measurables when it comes to him. He's not the tallest guy, not the fastest or the quickest....but he makes plays.

I'm going to be generous to the coaching staff and just say that there are just too many guys in this offense. They have certain plays for Dunbar, certain plays for Dez, certain plays for Beasley, Witten....just too many guys in front of Harris. Not a bad problem to have but it becomes one if you're quarterback can't get them the ball.

I like Harris as well but like some others he is a role player he comes in as an extra WR and returns punts. There will be some games he will get more chances than others. He is not taking Dez or T. Williams spot

I like Harris in a limited WR role. He has never shown consistency in catching the ball, especially in critical situations. Yes, he's made some big catches, but he's also had a tendency to drop some that hit his hands. I like Harris, but his is not close to Percy Harvin athletically. Harris does have an excellent feel for running after the catch.

I say give both Harris and Dunbar chances just like they did in this game and see who flourishes. Dunbar looked really good in very limited opportunities.

Agree about the FB. How many snaps did he get? I only remember about 2. It doesn't seem like it's worth a roster spot if he gets less than about 10. Once Melton starts getting more snaps, I would train the DT Coleman to take snaps as a short yardage FB. He's probably as fast and athletic as Clutts despite outweighing him by 50 pounds.

I like the play with him in the backfield. I also think he should be utilized more as a WR. But to be used as Harvin, not so much. Not that he couldn't, but just not as often or as that much of an intregal part of the game. He's not at that level.

PR / KR, a few plays in the backfield, but get some more chances at WR too.

He's obviously not taking Dez' spot but Williams leaves a lot to be desired. He doesnt go up and make that catch that Harris did on Sunday

I said it a few time last year, I think we need to find ways to get him on the field offensively. The guy has an elusiveness that seems to make positive plays. He's slippery and more often than not positive plays come when he touches the ball.

I'm fine that he feels that way and hope than it happens.
