We need to trade Dak

Agree. The last paragraph might become a painful reality of effectively giving a team, in complete rebuild, Dak Prescott and draft picks to eat their own salary cap for having to tolerate having him on their roster. People would then see how average he is on a bad team.

 

Only problem with this though is that there's no way Prescott would want to move anywhere else. He will not have the opportunity of joining a more offensive friendly team for a QB that makes him look better than he actually is, than the Cowboys. We are stuck with him for several years. The team has been properly kneecapped due to sympathy from the front office with his injury etc.

 

I understand you wanting to get rid of the dodge dart of quarterbacks. I wish there was some decent QB available to bring in but it looks like we are gonna have to ride this out.
This sure won't look good if Dallas loses the division or loses to a team like the Eagles or WFT in a first round playoff game.

Fully agree that Dak will want to stay for the reasons you mention.

Talking in general, not about Dak, the QB doesnt always have a choice. If a team genuinely does wants to move on from a QB it may be better to make the best of the situation and cut the best financial deal while agreeing to a trade. E.g. I doubt Goff thought Detroit were better than the Rams.

Yes. Unless you have an elite QB and they just go win anywhere you put them because the reality is most of these teams are similar and Dallas when healthy is more talented than any team in the league.

 

even those elite QB's that carry teams often have decent to good blocking everyone i have seen unless the QB is also so talented with his legs......one thing i may have noticed and i could be wrong...

Dak seems to do well when he has time to set up and employ better mechanics he has vastly improved on in last couple of years.....when he does not he does have tendancy to hold ball too long

looking to "power through"...which at times he is successful but often is not

 

Eh.. A lot of them are mobile and they just scramble and buy time. If you just tee off on someone like Mahomes or Rodgers they’ll burn you with their legs.

Rod Marinelli even said back in the day they’re goal was to keep Rodgers in the pocket.

Statue QBs are more line dependent but most teams run spread and the ball comes out quick.

This is why nearly every QB has a 65% completion percentage these days.

Most of the NFL is playing 7 on 7 football and they don’t prioritize offensive linemen like Dallas does.

GB is missing their starting Left tackle for the rest of the season and you will never know it by watching them.

Rogers is just so talented/...remember 2014 and Rogers had bad calf injury and normally would have sat out regular season game...but since divisional round...he was hopping on one leg delivering bullets

to receivers and our poor backfield just could not hang and we just got back DLaw his rookie year ( injured most of year until playoffs and he won us game against lions wild card ) and he made a sack\

on Rogers....and remember our running back who ran for over 1800 yds ( i forget names so easy apologies )...and he got stripped in that divisional game and had nothing but daylight for TD in front of him

and of course Dez a few years later it was agreed it was a catch....i thought it looked easy ball did not touch ground yes it moved within his arm as he stretched over goal line but that was a TD ...not even

if they call it a catch on the 1 yd line...for me since ball was moving he did not secure it until over goal line CATCH-TD....how can it get any more simple and it was called a catch on the field ...made me so
