First off, I predicted a loss. Didn't happen. But I knew the Giants wouldn't roll over. They're actually sneaky good this year and a new team with Wilson at QB.

I don't think their coach is as bad as people say either. Just hasn't had much to work with.

The biggest thing for me, and some will despise me for saying it, I'm back on my boy Jerral's bandwagon again.

Moving Parsons was the right thing to do.

And keeping a guy like Brandon Aubrey and room for others like him was a smart move for team building.

Say what you want about the Giants. This win took grit. The score matters not. It took 53 guys to win the game..

The fact we got a much needed win means everything. And dare I say makes a statement towards there being a true culture change.

Yes, it's only one win..

But that's how teams get to the Super Bowl: one win at a time.

Give me a break. It's simple bottom feeding. No more, no less. And it took a miracle to do that.
Exactly, if Dallas couldn’t beat this giants team that is one of the worst teams in the league, then they are really hitting rock bottom. And it took an amazing Aubrey FG to avoid this loss. Don’t need to fool yourself and make it a season changing win. LOL, .. that would be ridiculous.

You don't know what the Giants are

What culture change? This team looked exactly the same way it has for 30 years. Undeciplned, unprepared, and playing down to the level of it's competition. This was not in any way a good showing and this team is in serious trouble

Maybe we did need the win but my eyes tell me we are not very good and unlikely to challenge this year.

We were painful to watch on D, I can see us giving up 40 to "proper" teams 4 or 5 times over the remainder of the year.

I set out this season to expect not a lot but to cheer when we win, have a little jump up and down (and i managed that last night).

This year should be about growth, finding our identify.........and planning for '26 and '27.

The offense is very encouraging, and could be better. I expect guys like Booker and Guyton to grow with more reps. Possibly a Blue sighting in a few weeks.

That said, the defense was awful vs the Giants and had a terrible 1st half vs the Eagles.

Zero pass rush and highschool level pass coverage.

Overshown and Revel might help in another 1-2 months, but far more likely they have more to contribute next season.

At best this is a 9-8 team and to achieve that they will have remain healthy and hope Overshown, Revel, and Bland return soon.

I think we needed this win for several reasons. Obviously for standings. Going 0-2 and 0-2 in the division would have been a disaster. The other reason, the main reason is I wanted to see Schotty and Dak get tested and they tested. I wanted to see Schotty win a come from behind victory and I wanted to see Dak carry the team. Someone earlier in this thread said this win was a building block. I completely agree. When the team needed it most Schotty and Dak coached/played through adversity. Adversity being absolutely no defense. So it was a needed win for several reasons.

One thing I want to throw out. For all the talk that this really isn’t a win because the Giants are the worst team in the league (we don’t know that btw they could be an average team). All the talk last week was since the Eagles won we shouldn’t feel good about it because the scoreboard is the only thing that matters. We lost and they won and no moral victories. This week there’s talk we shouldn’t be happy about the win because it’s a bad team. So if the W or the L is the only thing that matters with the Eagles then the W or the L is the only thing that matters against the Giants. No moral victories or immoral victories. We have to be consistent. Let’s not make this win an immoral win. We won.

Cowboys fans want pretty(they're elitist) ... they don't realize Giants are quite talented

Much more talented than the beloved Commanders
Recent history. They haven't been as bad as they seem. They've played in a tough division.

Great post P2R. Everyone said that the Giants were trash but they proved them all wrong. That D line of theirs is legit and the Giants played an inspired game trying to silence all the critics. They had nothing to lose and left it all on the field. And like you said, it took all 53 for the Cowboys to pull out that win. A character building win that is going to pay dividends down the road.

There are so many negatives, but you are not wrong that the team needed to cone together and fight through all the adversity and overcome themselves to take home a hard-fought W

They made Russ look like an MVP and that is terrifying considering how awful the NYG OL is lol

But to your point, the team worked through it and the clip of the locker room after the game shows the positive vibes

Lots of holes to fill and problems to fix, but 1-1 is so much better than 0-2
