Of course, all the people complaining about defense would be crying like little *****es about the O-line if we picked a defensive player.

Lets see Martin for a year.
Even then, that leaves 3 high end lineman and 2 meh.
Good enough though...and way better than that atrocity of a line from just two years ago.

You don't need 5 great OL, Alot of OL play is about chemistry and how all 5 guys work together.

We don't have 5 great OL players and I agree chemistry matters having talent helps even more. With Martin should we take an injury at G one of last years starters can come in had we not taken Martin who comes off the bench?

I heard that chemistry excuse when Costa, Livings, Arkin and Nagy was on the team. They don't need talent, they have chemistry. That worked out well.

Hey, that make absolutely no since. If we pick a defensive player and one wanted a defensive player, why would that person be whiney about not getting a Offensive player. The reverse logic make mein head hurt and my brain molucules are hopping mad over the confusion.
Be kind and half some logic, OK, Derek? And tell the Dominoes I said "Hey."

And what defender left on the board would change this?

Yea, I would have loved for Barr or Donald to be sitting there, but the draft didn't fall that way. Sometimes "need" and "availability" do not always coincide. You don't pass on an offensive lineman that almost every scout worth his salt says is a day 1 starter and can play all 5 positions on the offensive line just to take a lessor defensive player.

Jerry said they had some "firm" offers but were surprised nobody was offering up a "bonanza" of picks for Manzel. You don't take a trade down just to trade down if the other team is low balling you.

Jerry made the right call, he took a player at 16 that can contribute starting on day 1 and was considered in many mocks a top 12 player in this draft. I don't see how anybody can complain about the pick.

No but we have. ..had a decent 2nd round pick and de are plentifully. ... I know I replied late but do you agree with the Draft as it stands in the 2nd round?
