Doesn't matter who we play, be it the Chargers and Eagles or the Niners and Commanders. We play great against great teams and crappy against crappy teams. We have the potential to beat the best, and lose to the worst. As much as I hate to admit it, that's a result of poor coaching. You can't play down to your opponents levels, you have to bring your "A Game" each and every Sunday. Until we do that, we won't be in the upper echleon of NFL teams.....

I Think that Bill gameplans that way. If we play a team with more talent, he opens it up, If we play a team with equal or lesser talent he goes conservative. Let's watch this weeks game, I bet with no JJ and that O line, he plays it close to the vest, trying to win 13-10 or 16-10. :iggles: :trophy: :suxiggle: :disseags:

Sigh. We should beat the Cards 30-13.

Any given Sunday, anything can happen, yada yada.

If we're REALLY going to compete, we need to beat the Cards convincingly, not eek out a win.

I disagree. One could say that the Giants and Seahawks had more talent and he was very conservative.

I look at this way.

For the most part he's only been conservative in the red zone for whatever reason.

Recently, he's been conservative throughout the entire field on offense against the Giants and Seahawks because injuries and lack of execution have forced his hand.

With Crayton out, he can't have Key and Witten help block in pass protection as much as he would like. Without Julius, he loses a back who is a terrific blocker and draw play guy. And without Flozell, there's a significant dropoff with Tucker.

It's tough to open it up when you don't have the players for it.

Rich..........

Michael Irvin mentioned this last night. He said we were far sukperior to the Giants and Seahawks when we played them, but we are playing down to their level.

I agree. I mean, we barely beat 49ers for crying out while Commanders/iggles both smoked them by 40 points.

So, if this hypothesis holds true, we play down to the Cardinals' level?

I certainly hope not.

So we really played well Sunday, since we played one of the best teams in the NFC on the road who had a 17-3 home record in their last 20 games?

Newsflash ... its a league of parity. 12 teams in this league were involved in games this week decided by 4 points or less on Sunday . Everyone is just about at everyone else's level. 2 NFL Divisions are currently headed by teams sitting at 3-3. That's why only morons and gambling addicts bet on the NFL.

Chicken littles and knee jerk reactionaries need to buy a helmet and a jock strap and hold on tight .... because its not going to change.

I agree with this post. The NFL is too evenly matched. You can get 30 point victories but the majority of games will not be that way. The issue continues to be expectations of the fan base, as opposed to our actual ability to go out and dominate. It's execution IMO.

You seem to have missed the point. Did I say we shouldn't have lost? Did I whine about losing to the Seahawks? Did I even mention the Seahawks? Didn't think so.
